@Gary: What class is the CA Dresden ?

Thanks

Hi Traskott,

Sorry I missed this. Dresden is kind of based on the Hipper class, a little. Otherwise not based on a real life design.

No Alpha version yet. Thanks for asking. My job has been keeping me pretty busy lately. My mod has suffered a bit of attention deficit as a result.

I'm going to start releasing some of the art I"ve been creating for Plan 8-8-8 for public distribution.

First up is the Kriegsmarine. This first file is carriers, capital ships and cruisers. Zip file is attached below. A preview of what's in the zip will follow in the next post.

This second file has a few U-Boats, 6 of the more common long range boats.

Ultimately these are all cut and paste jobs so the AE team deserve the real credit.

Hi trascott, thanks for rekindling my interest. I had given up ever being able to complete this scenario. But I will give it another try.

While waiting for clarification on weapon accuracy I've been working on the Kriegsmarine a little more. Came up with a few alternative camo schemes. Anyone who wants to use these in their mod is welcome but you'll need to apply these to backgrounds yourself, these are simply the ship templates on white background.

So I'm finished adding the Kriegsmarine to my mod. Got all the German Navy devices in, all the German ship classes in and all the German ships in. Finally got something completed!

Now I'm working on adding the Luftwaffe. So far this is a tentative list of aircraft that will be featured. Most of the German carrier aircraft are purely hypothetical.

glad to see this mod back again. The artwork of those airplanes is fantastic!!!

That will grant a huge diversity to the axis side, and the He-177 would be the stratbomber axis need ( unbalancing perhaps?) . I miss the ju-388, as a recon ( or the ultimate fast medium bomber!) , but overall ts a huge and excelent work.

When will u release a beta?

Well, I've gotten the Kriegsmarine completed. That leaves the Luftwaffe, the Wehrmacht, the Italians, the Japanese, the French, the British, the Commonwealth, the US, Chinese, and Dutch. So I'll venture to guess that the beta will be ready sometime in early 2015.

You're welcome. Obviously I should give credit where it is due. Many of my planes are resized and Photoshopped versions of art already done by others out there on the Net. Some of my favorites are from a guy named Simon Schatz. He does absolutely incredible work. Others I'm not sure about, they are Googled. And of course ship art is mostly reworked stuff from Big B, JWE and TomLabel's definitive art. Plane tops are about the only things that are all mine.

The Wehrmacht ??? D.A.K.? Deutsche Asian Korps ? Rommel in China ? LOL.

Well, Japanese, British, CW, US, Chinese and Dutch is not from scratch, so u can advance fast ( if u can ).

BTW: Considering the German festung in the SLOC, have u considered an improved Philiphines defense ?

Possible Guderian and Manstein too.

Since there are no treaties in this mod the US is going to have much improved bases in the Philippines, Guam and Wake.

Luftwaffe is starting to fill out. I've started on the tops. Still missing a few needed sides also.

I wonder what color schemes the Germans would use if they were flying over a jungle?

Not sure but I figure green is a pretty safe shade to use on most a/c. Carrier aircraft are blueish tints. Definitely stayed away from Eastern Front winter colors.
