I must admit, I am a little disappointed in the marketing efforts for Universe. As the owner of Legends, I was excited to learn that I'd be able to bundle shadows content and the (mysterious and unknown) Universe content into a single package. But I haven't learned anything about Universe since it's announcement several months ago. Another indie studio, Arcen games (you may know 'em for AI war), announced it's latest space strategy/tactics title "The Last Federation," in a similar timeframe, dropped info and built excitement, and finally released today through DRM-free and Steam-code channels. It's currently #7 on the steam sales chart--above Civ 5, Skyrim, and Kerbal! I sincerely hope that Matrix can raise similar interest in DW, because it is worth it (and the success of TLF shows that an atypical, indie, space strategy title can have success with the broader market.) (sorry for the late first post, but having to sign up for 3 separate accounts to get access to the forums was a bit of a hassle (that is, store account, matrix club account, and separate forum account.))
