Hey, an UNP! That was a long time ago. Unusual for Nashvillen to leave it hanging like that.

... guess I have to do the long dormant UNP dance.

Good Friday evening folks. I've spent the last three vacation days working 'Witp', walking the dog and installing and testing my scratch built n - scale Diablo Canyon Bridge. This really isn't the forum for this, but it does come under logistics. ... today I got the piers finished and the track glued....a few more details and I start painting.

Hope you're planning a good weekend

Fantastic job Louisvillan!

Morning folks, sorry about that full size photo. I'm still new to this tablet thing. When I posted the reply, I was shocked, the image is huge! I assure you, I'm not trying to compensate for a lack of something.

Well, N scale does look better larger!

And, Grollub, I was so overwhelmed by the completed Diablo Canyon Bridge, I wasn't even looking at post counts. It is that impressive!

Damn, Louisvillan, it looks like a photograph. I am beyond impressed. That is stunningly beautiful.

Thanks for all the kind words. My sickness is that if I can see details in a prototype photo, then I believe I can put that same detail in the model. When this thing is painted and weathered it will really look life like.

Have a great weekend,
John

Had an exciting morning. Went to get some gas from the corner market and was paying, when all Hell broke loose. Seems the guy behind me (name was Jim) was cheating on his wife. He was supposed to be out of town, and was taking his GF home and stopped to get some gas. But then along comes his wife to get some gas, too.

I’m standing there doing my pay thing, and the door barges open and a shrieking woman comes in. She’s screaming and digging in her handbag, and pulls out a .22 pistol. Now, I’m standing right next to “Jim” and I don’t like the idea of being shot, so I grab her arm and point it to the ceiling. I hold on, and she’s wiggling, and thank God she didn’t kick me.

Some of the locals that usually hang there, grabbed her, took the gun away, and escorted her outside, talking nice. All the time she’s screaming at Jim “Don’t you ever come home, ‘cause I’ll cut your f**king d**k off !!!”

Woof ! All I wanted was some gas. But how could you be so stupid as to go to your local neighborhoold gas station, that you know very well your wife goes to, and all your buddies are hanging out there every morning, and your teenie GF isn't eve'nt that hot, and just what the hell were you thinking, Jim? You deserve to get winkie whacked. You are too stupid to reproduce.

Much less exiting, another angle on the bridge (hopefully the image uploads). I had to pull our an older camera (less pixels) to get it to upload.

Enjoy your weekend.

Today I made the schoolboy error of taking my keyboard apart to clean it whilst I was a bit bored. It was grim under those keys

Germs don't worry me, like you said you can't see 'em. It's the stuff I could see that was grim!

Hory crap! That is an exciting morning!

Glad no one was seriously hurt in that bit of reality. In addition to being a stupid SOB, "Jim" is in your eternal debt.

On a brighter side, other than it being Mother's Day, my son's middle school quiz bowl team has been invited to the US national tournament in Atlanta, GA this weekend. I am staying home and keeping the animals fed, lawn mowed, etc. My wife and daughter accompanied him. Heard back from them last night and through the preliminaries their team is ranked 25 out of 128 teams and are in the playoffs. Like professional sports, anything can happen once you are in the playoffs.

Never a dull moment!

Those are moments I can do without. It took all of 2 seconds. Frankly, I'm surprised I didn't pee my shorts .

A nicely marinated Porterhouse for the grill, roast sasame asparagus, golden mango with tomato and green onion salsa. Mom's gonna love it.

Happy Mother's Day to all. John

Fantastic work, John!

Don't worry about being OT in THE THREAD!!! There is no such thing here.

Besides, there are several N Scale fans here, even though my trains have been packed in the attic (2 different attics) now for 9 years.
