Cheer up, X-man. Now if only you could shoot fire out of your visor or somesuch. That would be particularly useful. Good on you for avoiding the painkillers as much as possible too.

How's the family doing, mate?

My little part of the tribe are good thanks. The other parts not so much, but there's bugger all I can do except be a shoulder to lean/cry on.

As for the painkillers, I don't think I need them to function so they can stay in the pharmacy. The bigger issue is the increasingly frequent numbness in my hand.

How're you and your lot doing?

The wee ones are away at summer camp all week this week, so it's comparatively quiet. Mostly we're focusing on having the house tidy for sudden realtor showings that may spontaneously arise. No complaints, really.

Summer's here in Minnesota and the living's easy.

Dixie,

Hopefully they have had a physical therapist work with you on exercises. Aside from diligence about posture, they make a HUGE difference. Hardly ever deal with the numbness any more. Grouting the stupid tile floor caused some to pop up for the first time in quite a while, but I got it to quiet down.

Mostly I found that the exercises (and sometimes help from an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen) help to quiet things down when they get ornery. Most of the time, it's posture, which for you will certainly include rethinking how you bend yourself when you tear airplanes apart.

We had an offer after three days on the market. Alas, it was a lowball offer made by a moronic buyer and equally moronic agent. The last couple weeks have been slow, but things are picking up this week in terms of showings. We've an open house later today and a showing tomorrow confirmed. All told, I'm 'satisfied' with the pace of movement. We're doing our best and what happens will happen.

Good morning!

Here is to health for those that need it and those who don't think they, because they really do!

And to CB for not only a fast sale but an equitable one!

Back to keeping the scouts from killing themselves!

I just spent three hours in the yard pulling up vines and tall weeds. Enough to fill a couple of wheelbarrows full. I think I'll label my autobiography "Corkscrew and Blowtorch: my personal fight against the viney bastards in my yard."

From now on, gentlemen, "Vine" will be a language spoken only in hell...

All hail THE THREAD!!! tithe...

Picking up the kids from summer camp today. Next on the agenda-decontamination, bathing, re-decomtamination and re-bathing. Somewhere in there will be a thorough tick check. It'll likely take a couple days to get 'em clean.

City put a Cease and Desist order on my house. They say city code demands a concrete pad or walk around "Any structure". Thirty grand & all I got to show for it is a pile of boards. Absolutely no interest that such a code caused the damage in the first place. HOA approved already, designs in by an architect, professionally built, construction itself meets code, and city demands that I add back in the very thing that caused damage in the first place.

Pondering a lawyer, I am....

Off to an airshow tomorrow, flying on the Lancaster. It's getting a bit old really, all this flying around on a WW2 bomber
