Hi all:

Have the opportunity to purchase WiTE for a nice price (2 copies actually; one for my son); but it may be the German version- will I be able to run this in English here in the states? Am I able to select proper language, and/or will updates update correctly or change the language? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the box cover that is available:

Just rename the translation database file and you'll have the english version. Scenario text (description upon loading) will stay in german though.
Translation database file will be updated if a game patch is applied but renaming should fix it again.

Broe:

In Matrix Games/Gary Grigsby's War in the East/Dat you will find translation.csv- I simply renamed it to xtranslation.csv and everything works perfectly.

I'm slowly, as time allows, translating all the Scenario text files and reparsing them so they fit the display boxes properly; will let you know when they are done.

Cheers

1.08 should be supplied with a full set of translated scenario texts although they may contain some small errors. The size limit was unpleasant for some scenarios which required more text for proper translation.
