Thanks! Will do. :) In meanwhile there is a.7 character systems brewing. I would be really exited to see them as well, but yeah DA looks very promising and inspiring.

Hey Blackstork I'm gonna do some more pedia entries this week/weekend.

Just out of interest, did you play all the previous Dragon Ages? I have played the first one briefly at a friends house, and found it thoroughly enjoyable.

Great, cant wait to read them :)
Yes i played all of them. The DA:O is amazing, masterpiece game (the first one). I think it is must have game for anyone who consider himself RPG gamer and fan.
The second is ok, and assuming you like the series, is great too.
Also DA:O - the first one is cheap now and could be bought for around 7 bucks.
The new one is very very promising so far, seeming ot be very deep, huge and epic, including some beneits of DA:O and some innovative stuff.
I really recommend this game if you like immersion and RPG. Its story and lore and texts writen very well.

No. It is not compatible and i do not think it will be in case of Stafall, simply due big changes that Beyond have in various aspects in the game, and races files, which will surely conflict with Starfall setup. Also there race limit in the game, and Beyond have own system for races/balance/diplomacy.

I've been using this mod for a couple months, and it has made my gameplay really very challenging again, playing a 1400 star 15x15 map with all races added as empires. i love the Archei race, with an enormous advantage in construction rate AND decent strength troops...

Glad to hear and i appreciate the appreciation. Both AI mod and the Beyond mod itself, which make each race profecient in something but in same time less universal, add to complexity of the game. For each race you must take advantage from your race in order to win, otherwise winning could be hard thing.
Plus very important thing is understanding or alliance system. It have big impact on how populations perform within empire and external diplomacy.
Also Character layer is another level of complexity, which in some cases require full understanding of your race social system in order to know your potential/chances is necessary to maximize your game output.

Some information that been stated already + spoiler of things i left to be revealed by players till now - Archei have several special things:
High Concealment spies - Deep Cover specialisation allowing to have early/by demand full intelligence on enemy.
Early and very powerful stealth device allowing sneaky grabs and involving planet stealing approach with hightly stealthy fleets/troop grabs.
All Admirals have guaranteed Ship Egnergy Savings - it tricky but exploitable thing which also involve fuel savings.
Insanely rapid construction speed (mainly on Ice planets, they are very picky species) , with additional characters specialization and special group (it's bit rare though) which if can improve this even further. General big pile of maintenance/construction bonuses aviability through characters.
Troop regenration specialization, great with rebeling planets/planets under constant pressure.
Hight aviability of additional espionage bonuses.
Ships size.
Nice purple cybernetic theme. :P

Small Update: Yor, Atuuk, Lipid, Banoserit, Phaerax character systems done. Some of them quite complex. I am not sure that i will be able to release all 8-9 CS i planned for A.7 - it depends on how much time and effort will take Human CS with 12 CS groups.
Phaerax have new art btw.
And i probably do more 2 UI close to end of this week.
After A.7 release at 20.11.14, with what i will be able to finish till 20th of nov, i will have some break for instence Dragon Age : Inquisition playing, giving to A.7 some time to be played, tested etc. I will release hotfixes though if there will be any urgent need for that.

I just started playing Pirates after ignoring this part of the game and I began to wonder if you plan to mod anything about the Pirate characters (if that possible?) because obviously its kinda bugged. For example if you get a smuggler captain he never reveals his skills and so never can get better (I guess smuggling missions should reveal them but I was never able to get them revealed yet). Fleet Commanders can have the smuggler trait too and it give them nothing useful.

I also had ship captains playing a standard empire in DW:E that got the smuggler trait.

Oh and Blackstork your work is awesome but I didn't try it yet because I want the full experience when its done. I play atm with DW:E

In case of pirates there also some serious changes in Beyond. Each race have defined characters patterns. This means only certain races get smuggling bonus. Certai . Races get speed bonus, and for each bonus there certain races that have/have chance to provide you that bonus. So, basically each race pirates are quite different. Also you can't limit smuggling only for pirate captains. Ship captains pool is one for specific race so both normal empire and pirate use characters for ship command and admirals from same pools.
This also means some races are easier than others to play as pirate. But that's intended, and while I trying to maintain balance for normal empires or lore balance, pirates fight normal empires mainly and they have difference in tools and methods creating diversity between pirate race gameplay for different races.
Also final release will take time. There still CS to implement and research tree to merge from lurchis if he will ffinish or to do own thing. Game already provide very expanded and deep experience compared to DW:E but sure, there more to come.
And obcourse there loads of art things to be finished as well.

you are wellcome, dont forget all immersion things like soundtracks, they add alotfor the flavor anfd feeling
there alot of undocumented hidden subtle things, and all character system released races have their special stuff.

Do you mean UI? Since all AI stuff already inside/fixed. Game is quite challenging already, thats what i meant, with all things that been added from AI mod (in exsiting a.62) and all the Beyond Features.
Next week will be week of UIs and Human CS development. I might end with 1-2 CS less in release but with few UIs.

Some announce.
Once i release A.7 which will focus mainly on new CS, next patch will be A.71
for A.71 i will put mainly more race-specifics UI plan from ones which been not yet released, Alien Immersion UI Alliance-specific Overhaul, and I want to make 2nd race with custom face art , in same way as Ergreagd now.
Please vote and tell your oppinioon here, it is important - WHICH RACE it will be?. The race which will be requested the most will be 2nd race with unique character portrait art. Only small requirement exclusion -
race should not be Humans. I wont do Human race-specific unique character art yet.
Please tell your choice, its important and will influence 2nd race with unque portraits.
Then it will be long time till i start work on other races unique character portraits.

They are changed alot in Beyond. they are not dinosaurs they were in vanilla.

Also unless in close days noone will cast vote for some 2 races or one more for Wekkarus, Naxillians seem to be winners for now.

Ah, also wanted to say that release date might be postponed. The thing that in order to do some things planned i need ergie, our mod programmer (he is the great man doing software programming which does seeding and generation of huge character lists and link them to portrais i assign) to make some update on this software.
The thing he is busy man and i can not press him. For now this update not done yet and i can not advance.
Once it is done i will continue.
What i will change, that i said that i wont develop for one month once DA:I will be out - i cancel this statement, even when DA:I will be out i wont take the break from the development, and will work on the mod. But i need that update from ergie, otherwise my work will be much more complex and it could contain much more human errors.

My vote goes either to the Dhayut, the Securans or the Wekkarus.

The Securans, because they are one of races that are the closest to humans, so it would be appropriate to have a similar diversity among their characters.

The Dhayut, because I love spiders and I think you could have a great diversity of portraits. For example, portraits for agents could be inspired by jumping spider heads, portraits for warrior charaters could e inspired by wolf spiders, and so on.

The Wekkarus, simply because they are cool. By the way, I think their galactopedia entry should be changed. It says they are crusteans, but their new art displays them as squid-like creatures.

I'll check the Wekkies pedia entry and perhaps yes i will change it, thanks for pointing that out.

Ok small update
Instead of huge plan of A.7 i changing the plans to keep things ejoyable for myself without pressure and with proper quality of content.
I will wait for our software update and will release at 20.11 A.64
A.64 will include majority of of A.7 plan exluding Xhuman Human and Yl'ta CS.
It will include:
2 UIs Zeadaj and Phaerax
5 new pedias entries
Fix to gas giants rings glitch
5 CS : Lipid, Banoserit, Phaerax (they have also design changed), Yor and Atuuk.

A.7 will be next big update with 3 Cs which wont enter the A.64 because i need software update to seed them, without software update this is very complex job to do.
I also will add things to A.7 and said second race unique character portraits update.

For now please keep voting! Cheers!
