I'm unable to load the game after update. I get an error that reads: Failed to load Lua!Error: Unable to load DLL 'lua52' the specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

What do I need to do to be able to load the game.

Status: offline 		I had a similar problem and I installed the VS 2012 redistributables

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

I installed it and it was solved, not sure if it will work for you...

Status: offline 		I installed the Microsoft update, and it still does not work. I've tried installing the new patch 3 times now and continue to get the same error message. The only thing else I can think of is a complete reinstall, but then I would lose the DB and added scenarios, wouldn't I.

Status: offline 		the dll should have been included. maybe your anti virus program interfered. try reinstalling with deactivated anti virus program.

Status: offline 		LUA isnt part of any microsoft redistributables as far as i know.
Make a clean reinstall with your anti virus programm turned off.

Can you please check that a file "lua52.dll" is on the same folder as the main Command executable?

They are there as well (4 of them).

Tried reinstalling with AV OFF. Still the same problem.

Status: offline 		I have the same folders for lua52.dll in the main folder along with the command executable, I also have the other lua files listed by ftroianno above, also in the same main command folder as the executable.

Tried that before I tried resinstalling. No luck.

Win 7 64-bit.

Can you please download the attached zip file and unzip its contents to your Command folder (ie. the one where Command.exe is located). These are the Lua DLLs from a "known good" installation. Again please let us know of your OS version and whether this solves the issue for you.

Status: offline 		hmmm, one of the things above usually helped when someone had that error with other games... maybe you should try a clean installation in a different directory.
Steam or Boxed Version?

Hi all,
hope have a fix for all having the lua issue. Had same issue and tried all solution posted here including the vs2012. Have win7 bit64 so downloaded the vsu..x64 ver. but still having issue. Then while searching I checked the program list under control panel and all the visual c++ had the x86 version. so to make story short installed the x86 version from the vs2012 and the program is working !!!! hope this will work for you all. ciao

Status: offline 		Guys, try installing the X86 redistributable, even though you have a 64 bit computer. You should have both x64 and x86 installed.
