wings of a P-40, A-24 tail, F-4u under carriage , and the drive set up from the P-39. It was ready too late for production. Wright Pat has the sole remaining one.

Status: offline 		The guy who designed the weird concave canopy must have left GM after the war and gone to Mercury -- he undoubtedly contributed to the design of the Turnpike Cruiser:

Status: offline 		Here is a bit of trivia: The patent for the landing gear that retracts straight back (as used on the P-40, F4U, and F6F) was owned by an aircraft manufacturer that only put it in one prototype aircraft that never went to production. What was the manufacturer and what was the prototype?
