This is great! It looks almost like a hand painted map.

The color is magnificent. The ocean has a fine grain texture. The grid is subdued. The lettering is elegant.
Looks beautiful on a wide screen monitor.

One of the finest computer game maps that I have ever seen.

Maybe too beautiful to play on. I’m almost afraid any bombing might rip it.

Repeatedly tried to download the maps using the links on the first post of this thread. Both Sunny & Cloudy extended verions. Archive size seemed to say 177MB for both yet stopped after 77.7MB downloaded with an 'archive' error when trying to unpack. Is that an error in download or packing? Either way, will have to use the old preview 4 download for my mod for the time being. Let us know if you check/fix the downloads. Thanks.

One at a time, as suggested. Download still hangs at 77MB then cuts out. Is there a filesize or time limitation on downloads also?

i'm very sad to hear that... sorry. on my end, everything's smooth as it should. all test-downloads finished 'again' satifactory - while my son's watching this guy's channel...

I just updated my game to the latest patch v1.01.24 and it overwrote my map files for your Yamato Damashii map. Do you happen to know if your Yamato Damashii map is compatible with the new patch?

Chemkid, I am not happy with your map projects.

I am not happy with them, because with each new release you make it that much more friggin' difficult to decide which one of these outstanding gems I want to use in the game, you bastard...

I think you can edit the bitmaps for color amount and color saturation.
I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It comes with Microsoft Office.

With it you can set numerical values for color amount and saturation.
Also, edit for brightness and contrast.
You need to edit each one by the same amount but you can get the darker green colors.
You can get them pretty gritty. It will take the color out of the ocean.
Stormy looking seas, etc; Like an old faded chart map.

Or any other picture editor should work for you.




Irfanview works just as well also, and it has a handy batch file system if you want to adjust multiple images at once. I had to turn down the color saturation several steps in Chemkid's first map project as the map relief tended to overwhelm the map icons in places.

If you hold the ALT key down when you press "Print Screen", you will will only capture the active window and not the whole screen.

Might save a few electrons.....

The movement chart in the upper right corner needs to be updated.

v1.00.95 - December 7, 2009

•Second Official Update – This release is comprehensive and updates ALL previous versions to the v1.00.95 level.

56. Gameplay Change: Movement rates for clear and desert changed to 25 for mechanized units

I am assuming that Armor and Mechanized are the same.
