ORIGINAL: CarnageINC Big fan of the original FPG. I looked back through the last 3 pages or so and didn't see these questions asked. I believe I will buy this title regardless, but I would like to know how the PBEM system works. Is it easy to use and understand, I believe it must be since no one is asking about it. Is it a single file you email back and forth or is via a server? It looks like the PBEM community is active so how easy is it to find a partner and how long are the scenarios in general? Finally, and good mods that I should know about out the gate? Thanks to all who give me some assistance Hello: I play H2H (Against human opponents) all most exclusively of the AI... and it's great fun! I've found "classic" PBeM (attach turns to emails) to be my preferred method. There is a check box titled "Start a Play by Email (Classic PBEM) Game in the game's start menu. Simply click the box, select a scenario to play, plot out your moves and end your turn. The game will prompt you to save the file. Be sure to check the incremental file name check box (so the system will name each subsequent game file with an incremental number (e.g. Turn 001, 002, 003, etc.). Than simply attach the file to an email and send to your opponent. Your opponent downloads the game file and places it in the Saved folder. Than your opponent selects Classic PBEM from the Resume Existing menu, selects the correct file and loads it into the game. Your opponent watches the replay and than conducts his turn. He saves the game file, attaches the file to an email and sends it back to you. Repeat the process until the game ends. Once you complete a few game turn exchanges, it becomes easy and intuitive to conduct "classic" PBeM. Your saved game files are stored in a folder named Saved Matrix Games > Flashpoint Campaigns Red Storm > Modules > FPRS > Saved Welcome aboard... and send me a PM if you are interested in starting a classic PBEM game!
