Status: offline 		Can't threads that are way off topic be moved to more appropriate forums? No good has come of this China thread and I'm not even going to read the hat nonsense. Neither belong here. At the least being called a gamer or a whiner while not pleasent has something to do with the game. Thank you for your consideration.

Status: offline 		I agree with you that the "China" thread has got nothing to do with SPWAW. If at all it should be part of SP Modern Warfare. I do think you should be able to discuss politics in topics. Otherwise, you might aswell discard all of the "what-if" threads whom have nothing to do purely with the game, but are miltary, humorous and/or politically interesting (warmovies for instance or certain political decisions which could have altered WW2). No censorship (except for threatening or purely insulting)here!!! Just put the thread at the wright Matrix Forum, thank you. Regards, Pantherblaster

Status: offline 		Yeah it's a hard choice and I don't ask lightly. We've had many a good off topic threads. But this isn't usernet where you can delete or filter things and it has taken some very mean twists, that just don't belong here.

Status: offline 		As the one who opened up this "Pandora's box", I agree with you all. As a Marine I just did what comes natural to me, and kicked in the door so to speak. I certainly did not consider the ramifications of posting such a topic on a board that has such a "World-Wide audience". "No kidding 1stSgt, that's what WWW stands for "World Wide Web." I thought it was funny, I was not trying to start a foreign policy debate. I am not trying to appease anyone nor am I trying to be PC, I am simply doing the right thing and admitting and taking responsibility for my actions. As I stated before I have learned my lesson, and will keep my post's to the game and the game alone. It may make me stale, oh well. I sort of feel like General Patton did after he slapped that Private, my intent was honorable, it just didn't turn out that way. So, To the Members of the SPWAW COMMUNITY, I ask you please accept this apology.

Status: offline 		My personal view is normally to leave a thread as long as it not offensive. Of course, that can be interpreted in various ways. What is not offensive to me might be very offensive to you. Non-SPWAW topics do get posted here. Usually I will leave them as long as they don't get out of hand. If I have no interest, or I think the dog has been beaten to death, I simply ignore them and go to those that do interest me. I think most of those who visit here do the same. If it does seem to go on too long, then we can either just lock it up or toss it out. I hesitate tossing anything because that too can be offensive. Sometimes it is necessary. I have only read the China post once. Since then I have just passed it over. I will go read it now and see if it is a subject worth continuing. We do try to monitor everything that comes up here. OF course, Paul V as senior forum man is on top of everything here also, I am sure more than I. And Paul runs a pretty tight ship. :D Wild Bill

Status: offline 		I don't always have the time to clean theses things up, If I catchone and move it I will, but if I miss a chance I don't usually have time to look back ;) Some threads culd be moved up to Art of War where "anything goes" pretty much, but once a thread gets going I usually just leave it.

That's my problem with all the demands to move that thread - many OT threads get posted, but nobody minds when it's about "Enemy at the Gates" or "What's your favorite book?". If you let all those in, then you can't demand to move the one thread that you don't like. Do what I do - ignore it.

Status: offline 		I must say that I must agree with most of Don's point of view here. What's insulting to you might not be the case for me or someone else. Just let the Enforcers do their work if they think it gets to bad, the've shown that they don't liquidate everything that people could take offense to. That's enough for me if that's not enough for you then simply ignore it like it's not even there. Just accept that that's just an opinion of another person who has a different kind of view. Only when it really, really gets bad should it be terminated or whatever you want to call it. That's just my point of view. Regards, Pantherblaster

Status: offline 		Hello. If you know History, you must know that in Spain we have suffered censorship (at innimaginable levels) during 40 years. I don't like to limit the ideas and opinions of people. Sometimes, posting about topics that are alien to Spwaw is funny for people, I think. It's funny for me too. 1stSgt, I'm sure did it with good intentions. But someone can convert this forum in a tribune for the arrogance, the offence and the lack of culture. And that's not funny at all! But, I agree with you in one point. Censorship is as bad as those primitive attitudes. Perhaps the best we can do with this is ignore it. :(
