Well it's in the manual attack window so I wouldn't expect it to affect auto attacks

But easy way to see its effect is to take his save (or any scenario where you have a bomber with manual bombs and a target), make sure he is unassigned from his attack. Move him like 25 nm away and plot a course towards the target.

Then Shift F1 the target to manually allocate the bombs. If you leave that toggle ON, then look approx 40 seconds later and the allocation will be removed. If you disable that toggle, your allocation will stay in there the whole 25nm to target and the target should get bombed.

I didnt actually realize this myself either until Mikkey pointed it out there and i experimented with it. Learn something every day

You need to reinstall using the original game file installer and then update with the last patch 1.09.

If you haven't a backup of your game file installer please open a helpdesk ticket or contact us at support[at]slitherine.co.uk with your order details (order reference number or/and email address used for placing the order) and we will provide you with a new download link for the installer.

I've copied the installation to an external disk, and ran the initial installer from the original disk. The installer failed because it cannot create the uninstall folder.
Tried to delete the uninstall folder, not able to (even when running as administrator).
Ran the uninstall routine from Control Panel - failed due to invalid uninstall file "....\uninstall\uninstall.xml".

Running Win 7 Pro.

What next?

MP would add zero value to me. Same with CM, which I have played since 1999, never MP.

On the other hand, if someone implemented cooperative multiplayer in a wargame, well, then I would have to try it :-)

Yes indeed.... Way fun… You could divide task sets up… And with voice communication you could play in real time…

Actually you are incorrect in this case, it does have an impact, which you can see if you play around with it. It also is the answer to his question of being able to allocate while the aircraft are still out of range.

If auto salvo cancellation is enabled, i.e. that box is checked, then after you allocate the iron bombs, if the unit is not in range within 40 seconds, the allocation is cancelled. If you disable auto salvo cancellation, i.e. box is NOT checked, then this does not happen and he can allocate the weapons from far away and after plot them to get in range without the 40 second limit.

Very interesting… I did not know this… Thank you sir.....

CMANO v1.09 Release Candidate 3 (Build 737)

Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B205vpZC1pGmTVRvQXg4Y3p2M0U/view?usp=sharing

Unzip to your existing CMANO installation folder. (Backup your current Command.exe just in case)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because of changes in the way that the program checks for a valid license, if you have not actually installed Command on your current OS (e.g. re-installed the OS after installing Command or copied the entire installation folder from another PC etc.) you may get an "insufficient license" warning when attempting to load a scenario. If this is the case then re-install Command. If the problem persists after a proper installation please contact us immediately through PM/email. Thanks!

Fixed/Added:
------------------------
* New map feature: Day & Night lighting of the Earth (ON by default). It can be enabled/disabled through the "View" menu and is persisted per-side as part of the map view options.

* Includes updated & rebuilt versions of the included 40 standalone scenarios and 6 tutorials.

Wow, some serious labour on the Labour Day weekend (at least for those of us in North America). Thanks.

That is some update. The overall list is amazing and must have taken a huge effort. Thanks also for adding the platforms I asked about. Once I figure out how to get Norton to stop quarantining the exe, I will give the new build a try. Two years since release and it just keeps getting better - very few other games can make that claim.

Happy Labor Day,

Mark

That is some update. The overall list is amazing and must have taken a huge effort. Thanks also for adding the platforms I asked about. Once I figure out how to get Norton to stop quarantining the exe, I will give the new build a try. Two years since release and it just keeps getting better - very few other games can make that claim.

Happy Labor Day,

Mark

Few folks were posting about this the other day. Seemed to have found a fix.

Mike,

Had issues with Build 735 and 736, but just found 737 is working great! Thanks again,

Mark

Hi Glenn. Sorry you're having an issue.

Did you delete the command folder or did you uninstall the application in your control panel? If you just deleted it please go into the control panel and uninstall command from there. Then try reinstalling, updating and then applying the patch. Please make sure you back up your scenario prior to.

You're not on steam correct?

If you still aren't working after this please start a string in tech support so it doesn't get lost in this one.

Thanks!

Mike

Can you post the entire path for uninstall\uninstall.xml ?

Mike, the full path to the uninstall directory is:-
"C:/Matrix Games/Command Modern Air Naval Operations/uninstall/uninstall.xml". There are of course other files in the folder as well.

However, I've located my backup of the current installation and copied back the uninstall directory. The uninstall has then run apparently successfully. All the directories/folders are still present (except uninstall) but no files are present.

I'll re-run the original install again later today when I have an opportunity, and then try the upgrade. For the original install I'll also delete the parent directory and the sub-directories to make it like the original install situation.

Also, not to interfere with Mike helping you, but I'm pretty sure that after 1.08 you can go straight to the latest build (in this case 737), no need to do 735 and 736 first.

I'm kind of hoping you're right Tomcat - I've re-installed from the initial disk onto a "clean" hard drive. I then tried to overlay/unpack B735 over the top of that, but no startup. Command would not start either from the Matrix startup splash screen or directly from Command.exe.

I'll unpack 1.08 onto the installation now, and give it a run and see what happens.

The v1.09 fileset assumes you already have v1.08 installed (there is no reason not to). If our fileset assumed you start from v1.00 you'd have to download over 3GB on each update.

Yeah, got that Sunburn.

Right now I'm back up and running on B736. Downloading B737 about to commence.

Thanks to Mike, Tomcat and Sunburn for your assistance.

Getting a strange response from the download for B737........ Click the link above and Browser opens a new tab, download screen opens up normally and is attempting to open the zip file. Then get "Oops - there was a problem with the network."

Is it my browser (never had this problem before)? Or is the server extremely busy?

Do you mean this?

This is working as expected. You click on "Download" and then the download commences to your computer's hard disk drive.

Superb release. The Day/Night-Cycle adds significantly to the immersion imho. And all these DB-additions and fixes, wow!

BTW you didnt mention the feature that you can see the terrain-contours without relief layer now . I dont remeber seeing this in a previous release.

It appears you should check all Laser-designated weapons...

Most Paveway LGBs, China Type 200A LGB, Griffin Laser guided, and KAB-XXX laser guided bombs are having issues.

Also these laser guided missiles...

AS-10 Kh-25L Karen
AS-10 Kh-25ML Karen
AS-14 Kh-29L – 1981
AS-22 Kh-38MLE – Laser

Plus come misc artillery rounds and rockets that have laser guidance.
