Status: offline 		Quite a complicated turn. Arizona and 5 DD's will take up a patrol box near Noumea plus the only PT boats left (3). 97 fighters in the air over Noumea (barring a successful Jap night bombardment)

The other ships, including the AD and AE and TK's and 2 BB's will retreat to Tanna. We will need some surface firepower for tomorrow night as well.

Noumea: Either JJ chopped their naval attack range down or they advanced no further or the AI chose not to attack against the CAP over Noumea. We got only sweep attacks. Naturally, the P-400's with 47-55 experience pilots did not fare so well.

Status: offline 		We got our booty kicked in the air..almost 3:1 in fighters, although they probably lost a greater percentage of pilots.

Noumea moves to level 3 and is building about 14% per day thanks to another Aviation Engineer Bn now ashore.

Status: offline 		Went to the beach yesterday..fantastic weather, water unbelievably warm...set of huge waves came in and started to push me back to the breaking zone so I had to work pretty hard to get back out. Hory crap! Admiral Mandrake was completely sucking wind. I new the CO2 level was rising but nobody told me the Oxygen level had got so low! The lifeguard came out and asked if Admiral Mandrake needed help. I sent him over to help some teenage girls who were panicked. Much better to go glub glub than lose face.

Status: offline 		After that Admiral Mandrake came to his senses, sat down in his beach chair, poured a big Red Solo Cup full of Jameson and 7-up that he sneaked onto the beach in a 7-up bottle and watched everyone else get rescued, of which there were many, probably dozens. Every 10-15 minutes another huge set would arrive and all those new beachgoers who had not seen the previous set would get caught in the washing machine with huge chop and a tremendous backsurge after two or three waves piled up a billion gallons of water on the steep beach. You could see 7-8 human heads sticking out of the foam being carried back out 50 yds in seconds. Nobody drowned, AFAIK, but they really should have closed the beach.

Status: offline 		KB standing off 320 WNW of Noumea...now said to have 84 fighters. JJ sent three 21 plane fighter sweeps yesterday. That is over 75% of their fighter strength. They don't dare do that if they close to SBD range, although they could still use their range advantage to pound Arizona or the AF.

We can't really afford to lose 32 fighters a day but they can't keep it up forever either. We will move some P-39's from Brisbane and some more P-40B's from Tanna. Maybe send in some A-24's to bomb La Foa and make JJ nervous.

76 new P-39's just arrived at Suva in crates yesterday.

Speaking of that, Mothers of America, will you please check what your teen daughters are wearing to the beach! It's like Brazil. I can't believe any parent would go along with that. I felt like I needed to hand out exam gowns.

Status: offline 		All the troopships at Tanna and Erromango will have to leave because we don't have enough fighters to go around. Have to do something with the BB's there too.


Uggh. Just realized Idaho just arrived last night and drew fuel so she now has zero operation points and will have to either port of stay at sea off Tanna. Think I might send out Trenton and a few DD's from Tanna and try to intercept the KB near the gap in the reef NW of Koumac (if they come that way). Most likely JJ will continue their Zero sweeps over Noumea as it is working so well. They are also being careful to stay 8 hexes away from Level 2 AF's (to avoid SBD strikes)
