Triode, thanks for updating the information I posted. I'm not an expert in actual military technology, and sometimes it is hard for me to evaluate what I'm seeing about future platforms (where a lot of the information is iffy to begin with) on various web sites. Thanks again.

Sorry , but I am not provide any information about 23560, it just critique (quite rude, in my defence I can say that I type my post when I almost asleep)

As for information about project 23560E, main thing on this ship is "Krepost"("Fortress") Air Defence system, actually it is funny how "Almaz-Antey" and OSK dodge questions about quantity of "Krepost" VLS cells on 23560E , "128 anti air guided missiles in VLS" + "can use S-400 and S-500 missiles", it is not the same as 128 VLS cells with 40N6(400km against aerodynamic targets, max height of target 185km for satellite, missile from S-400) or 77N6(700km antisatellite,165km ABM target ,S-500 missile) missiles in each cells

if we look at 23560E:

Red - 56 "Krepost" VLS cells , 56 40N6 or 77N6 / 224 9M96D or 9M96 / 896 (purely theoretically) 9M100 missiles in any combination (almost any, 9M100 missiles is "quad-packed" , so one 9M96D or9M96 = 4 9M100,
one 40N6 = 4 9M96D or 9M96 = 16 9M100

Green - 64 UKSK VLS

Black - 16 533mm VLS for 91RT antisubmarine missile-torpedo

also according to this:
http://bastion-karpenko.ru/VVT/23560E_MVMS-2015_03.jpg
http://bastion-karpenko.ru/kartinki/23560_ARMIY-2015_06.JPG

23560E have 2x4 Paket-NK ,two helicopters,1x1x130mm gun ("Kartaun", same as for "Gorshkov"), 3 "Palash" modules,
two SN-RLS navigational radars:
http://concern-agat.ru/en/production/radiolocation-radio-electronic-systems-and-complexes/sn-rls-navigation-radar

upper part of pagoda-mast :
http://concern-agat.ru/en/production/radiolocation-radio-electronic-systems-and-complexes/mfi-radar-for-vessels-with-displacement-of-more-than-3000-tons

S-band radar in it:

X-band :
http://concern-agat.ru/en/production/radiolocation-radio-electronic-systems-and-complexes/kasatka-x-range-radar

other radars in upper pagoda:
http://concern-agat.ru/en/production/radiolocation-radio-electronic-systems-and-complexes/radar-with-rotating-fixed-g-band-active-phased-array

lower pagoda have one big L-band radar in front and three smaller ones on sides and back:
http://concern-agat.ru/en/production/radiolocation-radio-electronic-systems-and-complexes/radar-with-rotating-l-band-active-phased-array

also above hangar,on mast, there is something like "Positiv-M1.2" radar system:
http://www.typhoon-jsc.ru/index.php/production-and-services/special-purpose/pozitiv-me12

EWAR systems looks like TK-28 but it can be something new
countermesures launchers is: 2x2 KT-308 and 8 KT-216

I cant say anything on sonar of 23560E, maybe this is Zarya-M + Vinetka , maybe not

Full displacement, tons: 17,500
Overall length, m: 200
Overall width, m: 23
Mean draught at full displacement, m: 6
Speed, knots: 30
Endurance by provision, days: 90
Complement: 300
Main Propulsion Plant:nuclear or gas-turbine ( how they plan to feed all this radars in gas-turbine variant, or gas-turbine variant have range 1000nm ? )

anyway , this thing, of course if emsoy whant to add it to database ,also belong to hypothetical platforms and weapons

Brazil's contract for 36 Gripen E/F fighters makes it the first export customer for the type.
As well as signing for the aircraft, Brazil and Saab have agreed a 10-year industrial co-operation deal.
Deliveries for the 28 single-seat Gripen E and eight twin-seat Gripen F aircraft will begin in 2019 and run through to 2024.

All I know is that Brazil eyes to integrate the A-Darter and maybe also an indigenous BVRAAM. Probably also the MAR-1 ARM.

The AT-16 is used on the Ka-52 which arrived nearly 15 years later.

Was the AT-16 actually operational on the Ka-50?

Guys?

quote:

Hi, i noticed what i think are some inaccuracy in the database. If im wrong please i ask sorry in advance!

1)KA-50 only has loadout with AT-9 Spiral 2 and no AT-16 Scallion. As far as i know KA-50 is not equipped with any radar and only use AT-16, but maybe there are different versions?
2)AT-16 is a laser guided, beam rider missile and can be ripple fired to the illuminated target. In game i can shot only one missile at a time and there is no illumination vector.

Hi folks,

I wondered if it would be possible to have the Phanlanx CIWS in its land based Centurion C-RAM guise added to the database. I know that the C-RAM is used to shoot down incoming mortar and artillery rounds, BUT for CMANO purposes could it be added as a point defence gun system?

My sources are :

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phalanx_CIWS

I am not sure the complexity of this for the admins, I would think that this would be a fairly easy mod to create, stick a 20mm Phalanx Mount on a generic truck, but I stand to be corrected.

I have created a template for a database entry as attached

A nice addition to the already rich CMANO's Surface-Commercial Units in DB for 1.9v release?

VALEMAX Class ships ARE a fleet of very large ore carriers (VLOC) owned or chartered by the Brazilian mining company Vale S.A. to carry iron ore from Brazil to European and Asian ports. With a capacity ranging from 380,000 to 400,000 tons deadweight, the vessels meet the Chinamax standard of ship measurements for limits on draft and beam. Valemax ships are the largest bulk carriers ever constructed, when measuring deadweight tonnage or length overall, and are amongst the longest ships of any type currently in service.

Would it be possible to add high altitude iron bomb load out profiles to the B-52G? I'm developing a Vietnam era scenario and my bombers are being decimated by NVA AAA while conducting low level attacks over North Vietnam. I don't recall B-52s using low level attack profiles during the Vietnam War.

**EDIT** For some reason, I am unable to post this in the Cold War Database thread.

Thank you,

Have forwarded this one to Paul

Look like really impressive ships but may be a bit too early to add these?

Thoughts?

Two requests for the next version of the database, both for Russia. These vessels are both currently in the design phase, so I've tried to dig up whatever I could about them so that we could at least get a preliminary version in the database. They're both pretty impressive...talk about a red storm rising! :) Thanks for considering these!

I've relied mostly on Globalsecurity and Deagle.com for the technical information, although some bits and pieces came from Wikipedia.

Project 21956 Multi-Role Destroyer
Operational dates: 2020-
Full displacement, tons: 9,000
Overall length, m: 163.0
Overall width, m: 19.00
Mean draught at full displacement, m: 5.6
Speed, knots: 30
Range: 5,800 naut. miles at 18 knots
Endurance by provision, days: 30
Complement: 300
Main Propulsion Plant: M96 two-shaft main gas-turbine assembly with power output of 54,420 kW (74,000 h.p.)

Chinese 122mm laser-guided artillery -- named 'GP122', has been revealed from local military magazine. It's possible to be used for nearly every 122mm artillery servicing in Chinese military:

Consider it as a normal 122mm HE shell added with laser seeker.

Was the AT-16 actually operational on the Ka-50?

Guys?

The AT-16 I've found enough pictures of to be reasonably certain it's the KA-50/52's primary weapon. The AT-9 seems to be the weapon of choice for the Mi-28.

Ka-52 with AT-16: http://img.v3.news.zdn.vn/w660/Uploaded/bpmoqwq1/2014_08_29/zing_9k121.jpg

Ka-50 with AT-16: http://www.army-technology.com/projects/ka50-black-shark-helicopter/images/ka50_3.jpg

I can easily find more if you need more sources.

The only picture I could find of a Ka-52 with AT-9s: http://sohanews2.vcmedia.vn/thumb_w/640/2013/4.3-83276.JPG
The AT-9's seem to be mounted strangely, usually they're carried in a 4x2 rack, where in that image they're carried on a 2x3 rack. I'd say they're probably not operational.

2. Yes, AP warheads.

The AT-16 is used on the Ka-52 which arrived nearly 15 years later.

Was the AT-16 actually operational on the Ka-50?

Thanks, have updated the database

1. 406mm shells can not attack runway. Is it WAD?
2. Are they classed as penetrator in current database?

1. Dunno, have the shells ever been used for piercing runways IRL? Don't think so?
2. Yes, AP warheads.

Japanese did attack runway with battleship bombardment in WW2
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guadalcanal_Campaign#Battleship_bombardment_of_Henderson_Field

Probably, you will disagree with this case. (Non-concrete surface runway)
But I notice 100kg GPB(45kg HE) can target runway. 406mm shell has 70kg HE.

Just giving this one a bump in case it got missed...this one is LOW PRIORITY, as I'm not working on anything right now that involves Ghana, but it would be nice to have. Lots of possibilities for small or medium-sized conflicts involving Gulf of Guinea nations over oil, terrorism, piracy, fishing rights, etc.

To help with the general effort of adding more about Africa to the database, I have tried to track down as much information as I could find (mostly from Jane's Fighting Ships, but also some from Wikipedia and other sources) about Ghana's navy. Thanks for considering these!

Albatros (Type 143) FAC

Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana_Navy) says that two German Albatros-class FACS (P 27 Sebo and P 31 Dzata) were transferred in 2010 (so, Operational dates would be 2010-present, I suppose). I’m guessing the data would be the same as that listed in the database for the Albatros-class from 1988-2004 (listed as #1386)

P 33 Stephen Otu

Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana_Navy) also says a South Korean Chamsuri-class was donated in 2011 (Operational dates: 2011-present). Here is the Wikipedia data for the ship:

Class and type: Chamsuri-class patrol boat, Stephen Otu-class
Pennant: P 33 Stephen Otu

Information from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNS_Stephen_Otu_%28P33%29

Gepard Class Fast Attack Craft

Wikipedia says two were purchased from Germany in 2012 (Operational dates: 2012-present); these appear to be the same as the ones in #1381 in the database. As far as I can tell from the one image I could find, the Exocet missiles are still there, but I could be mistaken.

Lurssen FPB 45

Operational Dates: 1980-2010 (both commissioned in 1980; decommissioning date is a guess, based on the fact that the same ship names are used for the Albatross-class ships transferred in 2010; I’m guessing the Albatross-class ships are replacements for these two vessels)
Pennant numbers: P 26 Dzata; P 27 Sebo
Displacement: 269 tons full load
Dimensions: 44.9 m x 7 m x 2.7 m
Main machinery: 2 MTU 16V 538 TB91 diesels; 6,140 hp(m) (4.5 MW) sustained; 2 shafts
Speed: 27 knots
Range: 1,800 naut. miles at 16 knots; 700 naut. miles at 25 knots
Complement: 45 (5 officers)
Guns: 2 Bofors 40mm/70
Radars: Surface search: Decca TM 1226C; I-band

Defender Class
(already requested)

Ghana is listed as having seven of these (three in 2008, four more in 2010); Operational dates: 2008-present

Balsam Class PBO

(former USCG vessels)

Operational dates: 2001-present
Pennant numbers: P 30 Anzone (ex-WLB 407); P 31 Bonsu (ex-WLB 405)
Displacement: 1034 tons full load
Dimensions: 54.9 m x 11.3 m. x 3.8 m.
Main machinery: Diesel electric: 2 diesels, 1402 hp (1.06 MW); 1 motor; 1200 hp (895 kw); 1 shaft; bow thruster
Speed: 13 knots
Range: 8,000 miles at 12 knots
Complement: 53
Guns: 2 x 12.7 mm MGs
Radar: Navigation: Raytheon SPS-64(V)1

(Unfortunately, very little information is available on Ghana's newest class, the Snake-class 46.8m patrol vessels ordered from China. The Wikipedia page has their pennant names and numbers, and the fact that they were commissioned in 2012, but I could not find out anything else about them. Sorry.)

Thanks! Is it operational yet?

No actual info to prove is it already servicing or not, however, Norinco did promoted the 122mm laser guided artillery munition at IDEX 2007 (also no picture of actual product), and many medias said it would be a copy of the KBP 122mm Kitolov M2 (not sure if it is in DB3000), revealed in 2004.

http://www.strategycenter.net/research/pubID.152/pub_detail.asp

Here is the Kitolov M2 for comparison:

Noted, thanks for the bump. Although this has very (very very) low priority

Now that 1.09 seems ok for release Ive started writing code for 1.10. Will be busy with that at least until Christmas.

Ref two current or soon (???) to be in service Russian surface vessels, there appear to be issues with the numbers and types of AAW systems, could the DB be amended please?

#2815 & #2305 SKR ADMIRAL GRIGOROVICH [Pr.1135.6M]

VLS for the 3S90M (SA-N-12 Grizzly)appears to be 36 cell not 24, (3 blocks of 12 close together in foredeck).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Admiral_Grigorovich-class_frigate
http://www.mdc.idv.tw/mdc/navy/russia/11356m.htm
The construction photo shows the foredeck under wraps but counting the side "vents/hatches" seems to back up the theory of 3 sets of 12 in a close block and the builders model photos show a 36 cell for the Shtil system?
Unless anyone has any links or photos to indicate the contrary?

#2816 & #2310 SKR SERGEI GORSHKOV [Pr.22350]
VLS is 32 cell as in DB3K but should be capable of using both 9M96 (9M96M)(SA-N-21c), 9M96D (9M96DM) (SA-N-21d) missiles given its size and length.
The Gorshkov is intended as a Sovremennyy replacement with an AAW role, so it would be odd for it to have just relatively short range 9M96 SAM's.
Also the Grigorovich with its SA-N-12 40nm range was widely reported to be intended as a stop gap pending full production of the Gorshkov so it would seem odd for the newer replacement to have a shorter range (arguably more effective?) SA-N-21c with just 25nm range?

Can the Gorshkov be given 32 SA-N-21D or a combination mix of 24 D & 8 C's please?

Yeah, thanks Triode, the same in Russian-Ships.info, but I didn't believe it, and is clear: (from nº01357 – 2x12 3S90E.1 «Shtil-1» SAM system VLS (24 missiles))

Thanks all ref the Grigorovich, did notice the Russian ships entry for the Shtil was 24 cell as well but it was in a minority.

It does illustrate that creating an entry for the Project 23560E based on manufacturers PR models may be a bit premature?

Triode do you have any links to You Tube for construction of the Gorshkov ref the 9M96?

[FIXED DB v441 + WAD]

Hello fellow. Checking the catalog of export of systems of Defense air of ROSOBORONEXPORT, I have observed some points to correct DB3000 database.
For example the number of simultaneous channels in systems:
-S-300VM. 12 channels according to BD3000. 24 according to ROSOBORONEXPORT.
-BUK-M2E. 4 channels according to BD3000. 6 according to ROSOBORONEXPORT.

Best regards.

[ADDED DB v441]

Request for USN Next Generation Jammer

IOC in 2021 for EA-18G only

"The Naval Air Systems Command awarded the contract modification to Raytheon, which had been awarded the initial $279 million contract in July 2013, then survived a protest by bidder BAE Systems and some budget reductions expected to delay its initial operating capability from 2020 to 2021."

As for the designation, there is none yet, so maybe something like AN/ALQ-XXX NGJ would do until we get more info

Here is a photo for loadout information
http://www.navyrecognition.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3115

"The schematic above highlights an EA-18G Growler flying with Next Generation Jammers, fully loaded with preprogrammed electronic warfare measures developed at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division Point Mugu. (U.S. Navy illustration)"
so it looks like we got......
2 X External Fuel Tanks
2 X Next Generation Jammers
2 x AGM-88Es

If you need any more information let me know and I will try to provide it.

DEVELOPER'S NOTE: Database development slow-down!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I have now re-directed my limited Command time (which is squeezed inbetween family life, day-job, workout, and various other interests) to write code. My code contributions have been rather limited lately and I need to add several new features and fix a few bugs before I can start working on the Advanced Strike Planner.

This means I will only fix reported errors/inaccuracies in existing platforms and only make critical additions, i.e. units needed for a scenario currently under construction. Nice-to-have stuff (that no-one will ever use in a scenario anyway haha) will not be added.

If there is anything you consider extremely important (...enough to justify spending time on adding / fixing, rather than having me working on code) then feel feee to post. If not then you'll find me burried deep down in the Command game engine.

Thanks!

Hello everybody,

Where do I find the last version of the database?
It's not this one - http://www.warfaresims.com/?page_id=1876
Thanks

Francesco
