verified game cache, 8 files needed to be re-aquired. Tried to start game, froze at same cdkey screen. Steam bootstrapper stopped running, screen with choice wait for program to respond or shutdown program. I shutdown program, bring steam window back up, see under FPC game still running, try to shutdown steam, prompts to shutdown FPC first, can't shut steam down.Check task manager, see 3 instances of automenu running, can only shut down one. Going to reboot and delete local content and download again.

Deleted local content, downloaded again, still same issue. While it was frozen at the cdkey screen i did go into task manager and saw that again there was 3 instances of autorun exe. running. I could shutdown steam through task manager, but when i restarted steam it showed FPC as still running. I could only end task on 1 instance of the autorun exe. the other 2 i can only make go away by rebooting my computer.

Status: offline 		deleted local content and downloaded again this time didn't install reforged. Game ran fine version 2.0.10, installed reforge and back to the same problem. Again 3 instances of the autorun exe. process running in task manager. Done for today i'll check back tomorrow.

Status: offline 		Budd, I had the same problem and solved by downloading Steam again (maybe is a new release) and installing OVER your installed version.

Status: offline 		Did you see the update download and install through Steam? Do you mean when you click "Play Game" from the initial game menu? Is that game menu labeled with the Germany Reforged logo?

Status: offline 		same problem chicco....me too had germany reforged not starting.

Erik...I restarted Steam, saw the download (5.8 MB size), then started the game, saw the germany reforged logo, and when I need to choose between read manual or play game, I click play game but nothing happen.
I cleaned the local files of the game, redownloaded, installed again, ttried second time, same problem

EDIT : game not starting but I see on the left side of Steam interface window that the game is running.... but nothing happen

EDIT 2: If I go to task manager on Windows, I see 3 process named "FPRS.exe *32" (120 kb) running....not possible to close those processes...dont know if game related, but restarting windows, going on task manager again, those processes are not there...they appear only after starting the game I think.

Status: offline 		@Swiso, can you reboot and try deleting the flashpoint.ini in the games install folder. This worked for some people.

Status: offline 		Nope....I closed Steam, deleted that file, restarted Steam, Checked integrity of local files (was ok, then started the game, same problem...I see "Game Running" on the left of Steam window, but game doesent start.

There are some systems having this issue at start or close and it appears to be a Steam issue. One player was able to fix the problem by reinstalling the latest Steam install over top his existing, deleted the game files and downloaded and installed the game again. We are going to be looking into this problem with Steam and the autorun.exe and see if a better solution is out there for this problem.

Hi, no...only one autorun.exe file running, but on the other hand, I see three FPRS.exe *32 fils running at the same time and not possible to close them...to do it I need to restart the PC, then these files are gone from Task manager

Status: offline 		I have the same issue like Swiso. The game doesn't start after installation of Germany Reforged. Only initial screen I can see. After click on start button nothing happens. I have reinstall steam client and the game also. Nothing helped. My OS - Win 10.

Also see if launching the game using that function from the shortcut works better. Yes, tried but no success.
Usually after clicking PLAY GAME, if I go to task manager I see three FPRS.exe in the list.

Status: offline 		looks like my problem got solved with the hotfix, thank you. I haven't played yet but did open and close the program a few times and start some scenarios. Hope everyone else gets there problems sorted out.

The game doesn´t run even without DLC (the vanilla game ran normally before purchase of DLC )... Neither the start menu appears. I have steam version....

Same here....
Is there a way to clean everything on my PC (register too) that is related to this game ?
Maybe cleaning everything related and doing a clean install...who know ?

Status: offline 		In Steam you can clear the local content, but that can leave some files behind. Try the following:
1. Right click on the game title in your steam games list.
2.Click on Properties.
3. Click the Local Files Tab
4. Click on Browse Local Files and that will open an explorer window.
5. Click on Delete Local Game Content to remove game files.
6. After that is done look to see if any files or folders are left behind. If there are delete them.
7. Exit steam, reboot go into steam and reload the game. See if Red Storm runs before doing the DLC.
8. Let me know if Red Storm works at 2.0.10.

You may need to disable DLC by going to the Properties dialog DLC tab and unchecking install.

Will keep working on this end.

1. Run Steam client in Admin mode.
2. Uninstall existing game copy through Steam client (Delete local Game content).
3. Delete game folder that left after uninstalling.
4. Perform registry cleaning by CCleaner.
5. Reboot PC.
6. Kill antivirus software.
7. Open Steam client in Admin mode.
8. Install the game with DLC.
9. No other work on PC during installation...
10. Run the game through Steam client.

Now it works. I don´t know where was problem really....

Status: offline 		My theory is something in the latest Steam and MS OS updates has messed with certain AV/UAC/Access privileges that were okay before. We are drilling down though these bugs to do what we can on our end. I'm glad you are running again.
