Red seems to MIA for a few days here.

Folks seem to be matching up on their own.

I guess we will just have to see who else is ready for round 3....

If Red is MIA, I think we have 2 choices:

1. Wait for him to return before starting new rounds

2. Elect a regent organizer to handle things while Red's away.

If we don't do either, there's a risk the whole thing will fall apart.

How 'bout a show of hands for either suggestion (or the third one, which is just to keep going without someONE running things).

I dunno - 3rd option as long as we keep track of who is playing who then may be ok - I understand the thoughts on the 1/2 playing the 1/2 and the 2/2 playing 0/2 tho - but then the 0/2 and 2/2 have nothing to gain from playing ;-)

I guess if someone will take reds place we can do that - if we are waiting for him to return we could be here for sometime (unless someone knows when he will be back)

If someone is going to pick up reds place or if we are to simply match up the 1/2 in a collective group manner than it may be helpful if we can get everyone to post their status here.

Maybe the 2/2 and 0/2 can have the choice of playing for fun vs each other or taking a break. All that winning / loosing is hard work
 :D

I am a 1/2 myself.

Is there anyone still working on their first round?

I say let's wait.

I thought the proposed timeline was round 3 complete by the end of April. What's the rush??? Most are on round 2 with timeline looking to be completed by end of March so let's give Red the benefit of the doubt, and hold our water.

BORO and I are wraping up round 1 and will be ready for round 2 shortly. With BORO being victorious.:(:)

As for waiting for Red, I thought that he was matching up the players to help keep the rounds balanced. ie. Winners against winners, Losers against losers. That way some of us newer players don't get overwhelmed and might actually have a chance.:D

Anyway, as a round 1 loser is ther anybody ready to play Round 2 against me? I will be Canada this time.

UBIQUE!

Ok, I apologize for the unintended delay on managing the games. It was a combination of work schedule and technology, I stopped receiving notifications of new posts so I thought things were quiet here and ended up reading through many pages of all kinds of stuff. So Brutto-Bob did me a favor and PMed me.I did manage to continue my R2 game with Mogami though :)

Combing through the posts for info, heres the current roster:

Roster
------------

AngryDeemon1:1/2
willy:0/1
Rokondo:2/2
red:0/1
Hades:0/1
3/2 ACR:1/2 (withdrawn)

Mogami:0/1
Brutto-Bob:2/2
Ironfist:0/1
Aussem:1/1
VikingNo2:0/1
Buzzard45:1/1
Jim Lindquist:0/1
Gary Tatro:1/1

BlueLavender:-/-
mlomax:-/-

BORO:1/1
Birdgunner:0/1

VonBlk:-/-
xsalarcon:-/-

patriot101:-/-
Kanonenfutter:-/-

so it seems like some ppl r still going through R1. If you made your match up for R2, R3, please let me know so I can make a note of it. I could the matchups for group B for R2 but I don't know if anybody already made their choices. Here's a preliminary match up for R2 (Group B), let me know if there are any conflicts:

Round 2 Group B:
----------------------------

CPT Shoe:0/1

sztartur:0/1

sandman20:1/1

What's the game status for this matchups from R1?

(unless anyone objects)If you have 0/2 status, you have one more chance to make it to R4. If you win R3, I will draw one player with 1/3 status to continue to R4 so you still have a chance.

I take responsibility for being absent and making everybdoy confused on matchups so if you are already in play, go ahead with the games and I will change the match ups accordingly.

Good to have you back Red. And I think I speak for everyone when I say that nobody's going to hold your "dissappearance" against you :) We're all (or most) here on a hobby basis anyways.

What would be cool is guidelines in case something like this happens in the future. ie. wait or elect someone else to be Red in Red's place, or simply have Brutto-Bob PM you :)

As to round to status:
dodger v overlord, I won.

Since I'm 2/2 I'm ready to take on pretty much anything/anyone in round 3, doesn't matter at this point. Jim's idea about bragging rights wasn't bad though :)

I have waited a very very long time to hear from Kannonfutter. He has not been in the forum, and has sent me any email since 3/13/03. Any reasonable person has to assume he is gone. Chalk up wins for me in round 1. I need to move on to the next round. Whoever is in charge here can set me up with the next opponent.

patriot101, you get the point for the game but I don't see anybody available for R2 game with you. If no one steps forward very soon, I'll play you for no credit for me.

Red:

Squirmer and I started round 2 a couple weeks ago. His British heavy tanks and heavy arty are giving my poor US troops a tough time, sooooo, if you insist, I can restart round 2 against someone else.;)

And, don't worry about being away for awhile. We really appreciate you setting rules and managing this whole thing for us!

Red,

Spiner and I (Aussem) are nearly finished our round 2 match, and as reported by RobW, he and I have just started our round 3 matchup.

Hope that is OK.

Red,

Not sure if this is the right place to report the outcome of our Round two game. However, here it is:

Aussem (US) 8577

Vs

Spiner (Ger) 4614

So how do games that end in a "draw" like Aussem's and mine (U.S. 8577 vs. Ger 4614) end up in the point tally? Is it a draw or a win for who ever had most points?

Winner is the player who had more points.
