I had a look at the soviet planes. The style is really different from bebro`s and especially the bombers and transports are so big (huge is probably the right word) that they stand out from the ones we had up to now. In my opinion it`s only worth implementing the new aircraft if the entire line of soviet planes is redone in this new style. The problem is that some of the planes do not have renders for both sides and many others don`t exist at all.

But you have forgotten
P-63 Kingcobra (2400 planes were delivered under Lend-Lease)
Spitfire Mk.V (150 planes were delivered under Lend-Lease)
Spitfire Mk.IX (1185 planes were delivered under Lend-Lease)

Besides, I think that it would be correct to make La-5F and La-5FN also

Also, a german mountain transport with mules is missing currently. And I should add, that in spite of all the transports I`ve implemented for Belgium, the faction is missing one of its most important units: a Belgian HW Infantry to represent the motorized cavalry that Belgium had.


Can someone please help me identify the following Polish transport vehicles? I need to know what speed they had and what they were used for. If any entered service after 1 September 1939 it would be good to know the exact date.

They are supposed to represent (from top to bottom):

Wz 34 halftrack open
C4P S (we already had a C4P in use)
Fiat 621R (we also have a Fiat 621L which is already in use)
Wz 34 halftrack

I have a question: what is the purpose of the new German Bicycle Infantry unit? Reading through this thread:
http://www.feldgrau.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15604
and others that I found it seems there weren`t any big bicycle units in the Wehrmacht. Just squadrons as part of battalions/regiments, at most a company worth of troops and they were used for reconnaissance purposes. Clearly not a close contact unit in the sense that the infantry class in PzC functions. So do we even need such a unit and if so, how should it be implemented?

Each of the units has a link with the renders in each post that announces them. If you mean in the form of a mod that implements the units into the game then you`ll have to wait a bit for the next release.

When I`ll have time to complete a few more things I`ll make a partial release. Probably in a week. Most reworked units and most aircraft won`t be present in this release and several other units were left out too, due to lack of time. However, the mod has been made compatible with the latest PzC version. I have included all available graphics that replace the vanilla graphics and, in my opinion, most extra units that were really important.

IF H.Balck releases renders for all soviet planes I`ll try to implement the complete line of aircraft for them too and release an update. The same goes for the Finnish units that lack regular info cards.

@H.Balck since you`re working on the Panzer IVH again, could you also add one for Romania? It`s its main tank for the late war and you`ve skipped it the last time you worked on the faction.

Does anyone have information on the Chevrolet M37 armoured car?

@H.Balck have you changed the lighting settings for your scene lately? Because for a while your units seem somewhat dark. For example here`s the newest Panzer IVH compared to the older German tanks:


The Panzer IVH looks like it was posed during a cloudy day/storm by comparison. I`m mentioning this because I think the darker setting is obscuring some of the details of the units at this scale.

Read the included Readme file for credits and general list of changes.
It makes the mod compatible with the latest PzC v1.25 patch which was my original goal. I`ve also integrated as many new units as I could. As you know, not all the graphics shown above have been provided to us so you`ll notice that some of the PzC units released with its latest expansion still have their vanilla graphics. Don`t ask me about them.

For whoever is interested, here`s the pack with the animated cards that H.Balck has provided:

The entire mod (including 1249 info cards) is 85MB, but a pack of just 35 info cards weights 58MB! I don`t know how much these will affect game performance so use them at your own risk.

I also want to stress that, apart from the soviet aircraft possible exception that I`ve already noted above, this will be the last update coming from me unless more work is put into the smaller factions (Poland, Romania, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands etc.). I`ve had enough of redoing the same german and soviet units. Don`t have time to keep that up anymore.

You`ve made several mistakes on that list. From mentioning units that have actually been included (Finnish Armoured train, soviet 76.2mm M1938 gun) to mentioning units that have never been released (German Mountain Infantry, AT-1, Italian Motorcyclists, SdKfz 2 etc.) to not mentioning units that have been left out (like the Finnish units mentioned in post #562 for which I`ve asked for regular cards and none were provided; I`ve sent Karaganov the assembled battle cards for this btw). In addition I had already said that most reworked units have not been included (you`ve missed the BEF btw) and that H.Balck has made more transports for the soviets and germans than the number of traits available in this game (I`ve asked for feedback on this above and none was given).

I`m not sure what the point of the list is actually, unless you`re gonna implement them yourself or expect someone else to do that. I wish you luck. The main reason I`ve put together this mod for my own use is that nobody else was doing it (and it`s been something like 4 years now).

EDIT: you`ve missed the French units. That Chevrolet something batch. I couldn`t find what they were so they were left out. Also I think there was a third Japanese transport in that lot with the Type 95.

I fixed a couple of bugs (Finnish Armoured train and NNS Typ 95 Daruma)
Later I will try to make a list for new French and British units.

I think the limit for transport units this solvable problem

The problem with reworked units is that they are continuously reworked. You never know when you implement something when the next version will come along. For example I think I have implemented the Polish 7TP about 4 or 5 times and the T-26 about 3 times. If you multiply that by the hundreds of units redone you understand whey so many new units have not been done at all or are not implemented yet.

Apart from that, I`ve been looking at your proposed list of artillery from Karaganov`s thread when I chose what to implement for this release. H.Balck made some guns that were not on your list and which according to my quick research did not appear to have still been used by 1941. For example the non-upgraded versions of these two:
122 mm Howitzer M1910
152 mm Howitzer M1909
And there are a few more (like the T-27) that do not appear to have been in combat service anymore. Do you actually want these included in the game?

I think that the following units should be added

HKVD Infantry
In the combat actions 1941-1945 were involved 37 divisions of the NKVD and 16 brigades of NKVD

120-mm heavy mortar and 107-mm mountain mortar
Red Army had heavy mortar brigades and regiments (11 brigades and more handred separate regimets in early 1943)
composition of heavy mortar brigade
4 - heavy mortar regiments (38 120-mm mortars in each, all - 144 120-mm mortars in brigade)

T-27
T-27 took part in the fighting in 1941 (Crimea, Moscow, Leningrad).
More than 200 T-27 were at the Far Eastern Front in 1945. T-27 were used for reconnaissance, patrol and guard headquarters.

Also, I would replace the FAI to the FAI-M. FAI-M were significantly better represented in the armed forces in 1941

How would these differ from the regular soviet infantry? Was the NKVD title anything more than just that (a title)?

Yes, I understand that, but the reason I ignored the mortars for now is that:
1. mortar units were not considered as distinctive units by the PzC developers and just calculated into other units. Which means there are none present in game. In reality, many (most?) nations had heavy mortars in independent units. If we add them only for the Soviets (the Germans have only one unit so far) then it looks unbalanced. If H.Balck is serious about adding mortars to the game then it would require he makes them for all factions that had them (as independent units at the brigade/division etc. level).
2. we don`t actually have an animation and sound for such a unit and putting one together would require a bit of fiddling so that they match well. Not that this is a reason not to do it over the long term.

Which would mean that in game they basically should be in the transport class, not tank or recon. It`s why I didn`t add it.

Actually, now that you meantion it, the FAI-M makes sense. Reading again the article on tank-encyclopedia I see they were present in decent numbers. I`ll add it to the game.

Thanks! That is what I was proposing above (using the same trait for more than one transport), but nobody bothered to give me any feedback on this until now. Of course, the downside is that the transports using the same trait will be available for the exact same units. Are you sure for example that Tractor ChTZ-65, Kommunar, Kommintern were all used to transport/tow the same units?

EDIT: there were several funny units made like those radio vehicles. PzC has no mechanism for such units that I can think of so what are they good for?
