Her sister Queen Elizabeth took the brunt of the damage but RMS Queen Mary (what an absolute beauty of a ship) returns to blighty with a much relieved General Gort. Why it took two of Cunard's finest to transport Gort to France is a mystery. I mean I know he was slightly plump but that's overkill surely

He had his personal staff with him.

With throws of 5 and 9 respectively, no further combat occurs.

Right peeps - where do Blucher and the Queens go? Blucher to Kiel right? and what about Liz and Mary?

Both are damaged, they are moved to repair pool and land units will appear next turn. I think you can return them both to closest ports. Kiel is always good for German ships, until Brest is taken.

Field Marshall Gort is a tad miffed at having his tea and crumpets ruined on the way to Franceville. When he reaches Liverpool he tells the RAF what he thinks of their no-show....

I say! I am a tad miffed at having my tea and crumpets ruined. Where the bloody hell were the RAF? Eh?

Plenty of land movement. Maybe even some rail movement. Maybe you could send me the file?

China finally gets to do something.

Grp Capt Winkie: Yes. Too quiet as they say in all the best war films
Grp Capt Binkie: Should we send up a patrol?
Grp Capt Winkie: No, there'll be plenty of time for all that - first I am ready for another cuppa - what do say Binkie old chap?

No apologies needed. I'm mightily impressed with how you are finding these great pictures so quickly.

Anyway, I think the star on his shoulder probably makes him a major so, sorry, it was the best I could come up with at short notice .

It is a picture of RMS Queen Mary, under construction in John Brown's shipyard. Picture found at www.rcahms.gov.uk

The Poles do a bit of re-jigging and the Communist Chinese decide to launch the imaginatively entitled Operation Avenge-Mao-Tse-Tung-by-attacking-Japanese-units-in-a-risky-attack-across-river-to-try-and-cut-off-Umezu-from-the-rest-of-his-forces. With a code-name like that, even if the Japanese intercept Chinese transmissions they will never guess the nature and target of the forthcoming offensive.

Meanwhile Nimitz lands in Hawaii.

So to battle. Do the Japenese wish to bring in Umezu HQ Support? Current odds are 3:1 (Japan has the choice of table)

The attack was a dismal failure. A 2 was thrown and the Communists lose another unit.

Do the Chinese, US or CW want to do any air re-base?

The Soviets re-base some bomber aircraft menacingly at the Soviet/Persian border and environs.

Yes. The Poles want to fly to a neutral country.

---

With the oil rule I find no point in staying with the Polish air force since it is impossible to reorganize them.

The Polish Airforce defect en masse to the Romanian border, and the Romanians then inter the aircraft - but allow the airmen to take the first bus to Constanta. They hear that the Constanta-Plymouth ferry is leaving shortly....

The Polish infantry corps in Warsaw is reorganised and the turn comes to an end.

To round off a thoroughly depressing impulse for the Allies, the weather is a 3 - its Fine everywhere....

Is that the V for victory symbol or, with the demise of Mao-Tse-Tung, are the Chinese peasants revolting and telling the communist party what they can do with the little red book?
