With no opposition, the Axis bombers clear through.

The Italian fighter makes short work of the Nimrods.

Carry on?

Facing a wall of flak (1D10), the Axis pilots decide to fling their bombs in the general vicinity of the Allied fleet (for the sake of impression) and call it a day for this round (3 rolled, reducing A2A to 0).

Do the Allies wish another round?

I used the remaining 2 surprise points to increase damage as Allied losses were already at NE.

Remarkably, the Italian transport survives but will be out of commission for a while.

Another round?

Japan rails Mil from Port Arthur to Taiyuan.

Italy moves Arm HQ and Mech in Spain.

Japs make a couple of minor moves in Southern China.

Over to Mayhemizer for German moves and the rest of the impulse.

Japan disembarks Mil to Tientsin.

Germany declares 15:24 attack against Gibraltar. Germany has 2 points shore bombardment and Allies have 20 points. How much are Allies going to use defensive shore bombardment?

Sorry gents but I assumed we were done for the evening. Just checked in after a dramatic end to Poldark to see that you have played on.

I think that in the absence of Ormster, and in view of how vital this attack is, we should adjourn for the evening.

This truly was a suicide attack! First time I ever make attack with lower than 1:2 odds, looks like there is no fractional odds.

Picture will follow. (roll was 1)

Well. Then we, or you, have to simulate a fractional odds roll. Because the final odds matters. Each odds lower than 1:2 gives a die roll modifier of -1.

When odds are 17:44, should I have fractional odds roll for 1:2 with out -1? If I do, then I would say it is 0,588 (44-17-17=10, 10/17=0,588). Fractional odds roll was 278.

I think the calculation would be something along the following lines.

1:2 would be 22:44. You have 17:44. That rounds down to 1:3. Since 1:3 is actually 14.667, you have 2.33 towards 1:2 (17-14.667). The gap between 1:3 and 1:2 is 22-14.6667 = 7.333. The fractional odds would be 2.333/5.333 = 0.318.

That's good enough for me. Thank you.

Although you accidently wrote 5.333 instead of 7.333 but for the answer you used the correct answer 0.318.

And, yes, there should be fractional odds.

So fractional odds was a success so no negative modifier on the 1:2 table.

Can you AllenK continue if you want to rebase or reorganize something? If not, I will play impulse to end very fast and get to bed.

I don't follow you. I was simply trying to determine the odds based upon how the fractional odds rules are written.

So much for my proof reading. Well done for spotting the typo. 2.333/7.333 indeed.
