Cisneros it is.

West Med.

The Italian ATR starts searching. The Axis don't fly any extra air. Allies could fly Harrow and/or Whitley (extended range) to the 2-box. Any takers?

With nothing for the 2 CW subs to target, I decide they will probably want to remain on the bottom.

Searches: Axis 3, Allies 10. THe Axis elect for naval air combat, just with the 2-box.

Is the Swordfish a fighter or a bomber?

A short air combat follows but with no losses. I land the Swordfish back on the Glorious where it came from.

Italy uses 4 surprise points to bring AA down to lowest 1 of 4. Rolls of 1, 5, 2, 7 see the ATR's bombs scattered wildly.

The remaining 4 surprise points are used to boost damage to X, which goes on the Transport.

It saves. Continue or abort?

Searches: Axis 3, Allies 10. Axis again go for the 2-box with naval air combat. As before, the Swordfish flies as a fighter.

The RN pilots are better prepared and give a good account of themselves. Abort fighter or front bomber?

The bomber returns to Almeria.

The Swordfish is again aborted and lands back on the Glorious.

8 surprise points are used to drop AA fire from lowest 1 of 3 to NE.

This leaves a D, which is placed on the Trans.

It succumbs to the second wave of attacks.

Continue?

Searches Axis 9, Allies 2. Avoid combat or have a go in the air with boosted air to air values?

The Italian BB initiates combat. The Whitley can get to the 2-box on extended range. Does it take to the skies?

Italy declines subs.

Searches: Axis 1, Allies 5. Axis include 0 and 3 boxes. All surprise points to increasing damage.

The CP takes the first D. Who takes the second?

The remaining bombing is less impressive.

As the French ships return to Suez, that brings proceedings to a close this evening.

When it is convenient and at your pleasure, the French wishes to search for the Italian convoy.

While the action has been happening elsewhere, the French sub in the Italian Coast has been dutifully searching down the Italian convoys newly reestablished in the area.

Their call for air-support is declined.

The Italian cruiser gets faint echoes on the hydrophones but it comes to nothing.

Searches: Allies 8, Axis 5. No combat.

The Italian Erone flies a ground-strike over Gibraltar. The RN can intercept with the Swordfish from HMS Glorious. Do they launch?

No Japanese land moves.

Germany declares 10:24 attack on Gibraltar (9-4 INF and 1-4 INF div are attacking). Based on last impulse attack and AllenK's calculations is this correct?

1:2 would be 12:24 and I have 10:24. 1:3 would be 8, so gap between 1:3 and 1:2 is 12-8=4. 2/4=0,5 and fractional odds are 0,500.

Does CW want to send planes? Germany has fighter in stand by.

I believe it is assault as usual?

I need to understand the rule please. Is this 1:3 or 1:2 at the moment?

Secondly to save me going into the game, if the Axis bring in max bombers and max shore bombardment without reply, what is the best odds the Axis can get?

So its 1:3 +1 (-1) because on column below 1:2 at the moment pending the max air, shore bombardment and fractional odds?

Currently it is 1:3, but Axis have 50% chance to get 1:2.

There is no shore bombardment left for either side. Axis did not use ground support, fighter is all they have left.

Allies have 2 disorganized units in Gibraltar.

The best Axis can get is current odds.
