Allies rolled 5 in the West Med while Axis rolled 10.

Allies decline to make any further searches.

Axis has the opportunity to activate combat in the Bay of Biscay. Will they do so?

To bad that the submarine was not included. With nothing to really gain CW decide to avoid battle.

RAF send a squadron Fairey Battle bombers to ground strike Gibraltar.

Will Germany try and intercept the British bombers?

Canada has a group of Hurricanes on standby.

Minor adjustments of the Chinese Nationalists. Including a garrison that became disorganized when it moved.

Over to Warspite1 for the remainder of the impulse.

Stalin orders the Red Army on manoeuvres and all Fronts advance on the West. Meanwhile in the East the Mongolian Cavalry are ordered to rendezvous with the 6th Infantry Army at Harbin. The units are exhausted and out of supply, but Stalin has promised air support if they capture this key town - which they do.

Air Transport
None

Debark
The British III Infantry Corps is sent to the capital of the Basque country in order to try and bolster the Basque fighters.

Rebase

Soviet Union
The Soviets rebase a fighter and bomber toward the front - the former in Belarus and the later in Bessarabia.

Commonwealth
A Whitley rebases to Aden from Sudan
A Wellesley rebases to Spanish Morocco from Bilbao

HQ Reorganisation
Wavell reorganises the Australians in Spanish Morocco.

And so ends the impulse.

The turn continues on a 7.

J/A 41 Axis 8

No DoW or alignments.

Germany flies Bf-110C to CSV 2-box.

Italian CA sails from La Spezia to West Med 4-box.

German CA sails from Cadiz to CSV 4-box. I figure the Allies will decline the intercept.

Japanese TRANS in China Sea takes INF to Truk. It is joined by a sizeable portion of the Combined Fleet (5 CV, BB, 3 CA).

Naval combats are declined in South China Sea, China Sea, East Med and West Med, leaving:

First up, Biscay.

The Hungarian fighter gets proceedings underway. The Italian subs decide to abstain.

Searches: Both roll 7. No combat.

Cape St Vincent

The Bf-110 initiates the search. No additional air is flown. CW can fly Hurricane up to 1-box and Harrow the 2-box should they wish?

Promised fighter cover, the crew of the Admiral Hipper can only look in despair as RN Swordfish appear in the skies above them. The experienced aircrew fan out to attack from all directions. AA fire is uncoordinated and ineffectual. The Hipper's captain manages to avoid most of the first wave but torpedo hits in the bow slow the responsiveness. A similar heroic effort is made towards the second wave but there are just too many to avoid. Further strikes seal the cruisers fate.

I presume the Allies wish to stay for another round?

Searches of Axis 7, and Allies 8 bring some calm to this contested area of the globe.

South East Indian Ocean.

Jap CA begins searching for the elusive CW convoy. The report of smoke on the horizon sends the Japanese crews to action stations (Axis 1, Allies 3). After a short pursuit, the Allied convoy is run down and sent to the bottom.

In Cape Naturaliste the undersea branch of the IJN attempts to add it's contribution but draws a blank (Axis 6, Allies 2).

They are similarly frustrated in the Bay of Bengal (Axis 6, Allies 2).

No Strat bombing.

German artillery in Spain opens up on Tangiers and Santander, while Italian Stukas target the Manchester MIL in Algiers.

At Santander there is partial success.

What are the maximum attack factors Germany can get assuming you give it everything? Aircraft? HQ Support?
