Dear All
Still not worked out how I can see if the patch has worked there is nothing on the screen but I have done both patches. Cannot start until I am sure I have the latest version - any help??

This is in regards to Art - right? PM Paradigmblue and he can send you his art folder. I had the same issue. Once I swapped over to the art folder he sent I was golden.

thanks but no this is in regards to knowing if the patches are installed making the game the latest version??

Your looking for the scenario version number, correct? If so it depends on the last time you DL'd the scenario. Their is no easy way to check a scenario version. You just have to keep track....GP

On the opening screen near the upper left corner there should be the version number spelled out for us.

Thanks for the help...

No there is nothing but in the upper right hand side there is version1.7.11.24 dec 25th 2014??? That all I have. Actually I have the same issue with RA cannot see what version that is either?

So I have version 1.8.11.26b. This link should get you to the right page: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=3185062

We are in sept 41 and I am trailing by about 10k VP's.
I think the VP values of locations needs adjustment

I am losing 100 VP to my opponent at the moment with hardly any combat going on. In the current balance is 1.2 to 1 in my opponents favour. Usually at this time I am close to 2 to 1 in the Japanese favour

I am running out of Supply shortly due to the massive expansion of my industry. I need to look at this closer. Maybe I should not expand as rapidly as I did but then I need to fill in my AG and build up my HI and supply point production.

Another point is the port sizes. The oil ports on Sumatra, Borneo and New Guinea are too small to move the production. Same for some of the resources ports. The production outweighs the load capacity of the max port size.

ASW is very frustrating. There should be another DC that the Japanese develop and put on their ASW boats. Something similar to the Allied DC's.

Land combat is ok but with the losses the VP points needs adjustment. Either on the locations or on the device level if this is not hard coded.

I do enjoy the mod very much and so does Bill Brown, my opponent but I don't think there is a realistic chance to win or draw by points simply because of the additional attrition the Japanese AF and army suffers which adds too many VP's to the allied pool.
J

I think he means what version of the Scenario, not which version of the game executable.

I am 4 days in to my Allied Focus Pacific PBEM and I wondered about this. I'm unsure, because I haven't gotten a feel for it, but the large number of Soviet subs stationed within spitting distance of Japan made me wonder about the Japanese ability to deal with the volume of subs in the early war.

I'm assuming the dud torpedo rates on Soviet subs aren't anywhere near the American dud rates, and I looked, all of the Soviet sub commanders are excellent sub commanders. Meaning, I could potentially wreak havoc in Japanese waters very early in the war.

We shall see.

Edit.

Repeat question: any idea of about when I should expect the Kriegsmarine to appear?

I have looked at every screen and cannot see what version I have ??

I also have a problem in that the German art is showing Japanese ships - is that as its supposed to be or a workaround - but I do have all the French and Russian art.

All looks interesting but cannot proceed until I know what version I have.

Also there are rather a lot of Russian subs...
Some more AA upgrades for Japanese ships would be nice and interesting - some get nothing until 44 ALSO CV arrive with a lot less planes the they can carry?

Thanks for the mod, I know these things are a lot of work.

Not sure sorry but I have downloaded both patches. Have I done something wrong do you think. I can load up the game fine and it looks like it will paly -started it in head to head - all looks fine apart from the issues above. Another game RA 7.9 and a different install I can see the game version in the scn list - there is nothing in the scn list of this one to say which version it is. I can see your mod of it as well - assume so it says Patton mod??
thanks.

Since there is no German nationally in game, German units are under the Japanese flag. We didn't put a version number in the mods. I'm correcting that with some new mods I'm working on. But you can always redownload for the most current. The subs and upgrades are as designed for the class of ship. The CV has room so you can add up to 5 CV capable air units or resize the ons on the ship. Hope this helps....GP

The art is of German ships, but under Japans control.

Version wise, Email me your email address and I'll send you the latest version. I'm not sure if Para posted it yet.

Details on this mod are on the first post or 3.

Enjoy....GP

Curious question: other than for game balance purposes, is there a reason the Montana's are included, but no HMS Vanguard or the Lions?

Just out of interest I load up the game fine - only small comment I still see no German art for German ships only jap art like Kongo Class for Schanhaust I think and so on Adm Hipper is certainly a Jap CA . Anyway to fix this? Cannot see any German art - I know its suppose dto be in the Jap art - but cannot see it.
I am awaiting a more complete state of this mod and when I finish my other SCN2 game I will look at starting this and it loos very interesting. My experience of RA ( also running) is wait a while as many changes do not seem to be able to be put into games in progress. No time for me to do re starts and so on...

GP - just loaded the files in the zip - the art is still Japanese. That applies to all the mods in the FP series.
Maybe its something that should all be changed at the same time. Some of the Japanese BC are also other ship art I think - just for your info.

Joglinks1 and I are up to December 1942 and we have run into a problem. We are both unable to add pilots to air groups.
According to tracker I have pilots with IDs 69,000+. I am pretty sure that the maximum number of pilots is 70,000, but I
am unsure if that is for both players or for each player.

Note that I have pilots to be assigned, but when I try to fill out a new air unit, I get the message out of pilot slots.

Sorry, 71, version 1.3

I do have about 9,000 pilots in reserve. And Juans aircraft purchase has a few hundred in it. I have
been filling out my air units using reserve pilots for awhile, but I just got the second Soviet
training groups and was unable to fill them up with pilots from the replacement pool.

No problem. I'll email para. He setup the extra pilots. Although if you guys have suffered large numbers of pilot losses, then you may have to wait for the in game training program. Which nations and have you checked the in game pilot pools?....GP

Actually I think the problem is that I have not lost many pilots, but have trained pilots aggressively.

Here are my replacement pools, I have some available for all nationalities.
