This campaign doesn't go in the same folder as the default campaigns. The easiest way to find out the file is to open a campaign in the editor, save it as a "custom campaign" and then you can search for that custom campaign's location. Save my mod there.

For me the mod is saving by default to C:Drive > Users > My Profile > Documents > MY Games > SC3 > Campaigns

Hi hitech

There are two Campaigns folders, one contains the official campaign files, the other is where User Campaigns belong.

The latter is where this campaign should go, and on my system it would be here but the exact path name will almost certainly differ on your side:

C:\Users\Bill\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe\Campaigns

If all the relevant files, i.e. the cgn file and campaign folder are placed in this folder, then it should work.

Bill

PS Ah, I hadn't seen Crispy131313's reply were on the next page!

I forgot the flag overlays the HQ. In that case they are all great.

Here is dropbox link with Natos sprites Updated (zoom version included)
You can now include in the MOD at your wish.

Sorry for jumping in here...

Sipres could I use some of your NATO Sprites in the World War III 1946 mod? Yours are so much cleaner than mine.

Is the .cgn missing in the Dropbox or do you not know where to put it?

Can you explain better how we can put your new mod in Campaign folder so we can see it and select it?

That is AI specific income I believe. I have never tested any game while allowing the AI to control some of my Allies, is this the case here?

Version 8.4 uploaded.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/pf6ir0vncrhs9n5/FW%208.4.zip?dl=0

I have incorporated most of the changes from BETA patch (with the exception of the major aircraft changes which are being tested by those who test).

Finished NATO sprites for the mod are also uploaded. Thanks to Sipres for originally designing the template, and Phalen who for the re-design (and their ongoing support!)

Quite the contrary actually. Diplomacy chit investment is still required to succeed or trigger many events.

Two questions. Is the 8.4 MOD compatible with the 8.3 game? I just purchased several German units. They do not show up on the purchased screen. Is this a bug? will they be there next turn?

Thanks for the great Mod

Each version is a new campaign so there is no compatibility worries.

As for a missing unit I am not sure of the cause here as there is nothing I could have done with the editor to cause it. If it is in fact an error you should report it to Hubert.

Also I'm glad you like it! How do you find balance?

It turns out the units did show up in the build que on my next turn. This is my first game so far and it is early, Russians aren't in yet, but so far so good. The game itself plays very differently depending on the DE's you choose. I do think bombers are a little on the weak side. Did you slow research by chance? Tech is progressing painfully slow.

Excellent, I wasn't looking forward to any errors

I'm happy to hear that it feels that way, as that is the intention! If you find yourself in some unhistorical situations they can snowball as well

Yes Bombers are toned down intentionally but as I have confirmed in PBEM they remain very useful and an integral part of any offensive.

Research is slowed down yes, mainly for later levels (3-5) I doubt you are feeling this yet so early in the game. You can find solace that you should hold a slightly longer tech advantage against the Soviets because of this though.

You'll find the bombers are OK once you get to the higher tech, personally I think he has got the research spot on. The only thing that seems not to work very well is the diplomacy, I've not had many results playing as the Axis but that's not a biggy.

The AI will counter your diplomacy in many instances in my mod which you may be finding, which I think is good behavior. You can still sway nations to join the Axis, but it is not guaranteed.

When you said "chit effectiveness has been reduced and rather is given a complementary role." & I didn't see any results I thought you made diplomacy redundant, but the way it is now seems to be better than the vanilla game. Diplomacy is hard to get right in this type of game.

I believe the Tank in question was in a town/city/capital where the defensive penalties applied on a level 1 Tank would appear this way. I don't think this was a bug.

I know that I am as much use with computers as the average 2 year old but I thought I had downloaded in the right place despite having no idea what opening as editor means (see screenshot) but I still can't access your mod in the game. Any help in words of one syllable will be greatly appreciated

Hi

The campaign needs to go in a different place, as where you've placed it is where the official campaigns belong.

This thread will help, scroll down to post 15:

Tx Bill. I use W& like that author so I thought it would be easy. However, I don't have the game in the place I need to put the mod. Do I transfer my game to docs or copy it over or what? It was not false modesty that made me say I was useless at computers

Hi

Don't transfer your game, but if you go to the relevant place mentioned in post 15 (Documents > My Games > Strategic Command WW II - War in Europe) you should already find a Strategic Command related folder there, with sub folders, and if there isn't already a Campaigns sub folder, create one and place the relevant mod files there.

It should then work, hopefully.

Bill
