Is FITE2 playable against the AI?

I'm not all that familiar with FITE2 and I've only had
the map open and moved a unit around a little and don't know
all that much about it and I can't remember if it's got a PO
or not for either side but you know, if I was to hazzard a
guess, I'd guess that there's no PO for either side yet.
I'd love to see a PO for it for the Soviet side though.

Berlin 1945 draws my attention. I hope it's a monster with lots of obscure late-war German units

Such an incomplete list.

Where is the Spanish Civil War? Or the Italo-Turkish War? Or the Chaco War? Or the Emu War of 1932?

Quite frankly I am very disappointed that the brawl that broke out at my grandparent's wedding in 1928 isn't included.

And you have the nerve to boast about the scenario list. So disappointing...

Get up off your rear and make them. The TOE for your grandparent's wedding should be interesting. What's the penetration of a 12" cast iron skillet.

It obviously depends on a number of factors ...

* Whether it is a German, Italian, Japanese, British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, French, Dutch or Belgian Skillet

* Who was wielding it? Grandma? Grandpa? Some random relative?

And that's just for starters ...

The equipment list can hold some insane number of potential equipment types. Bob's expanded both the time scale and the hex scale, and you can customize all the graphics, so it might be more possible than you think . Yeah, I know how picky grognards are.

I saw my scenario "Guerra no Pampa 2011" as part of TOAW IV list, what is an honor to me, but at same time I must say it is not the last and improved version available. Is there still time to update it? Current version for TOAW 3.4 is the v2.6. Attached you have the last version, if you can update the game with this one, Gamers will thank you.

It's too late to update the scenario for the release BUT Tamas said there's
going to be a section of the forum dedicated to scenarios and you can
post your update there after the release. And thanks for your efforts.
We gamers thank you.

I noticed a lot of scenarios with a naval focus. I'm very curious to see how
those play. That wasn't really possible in Art of War III

Bob posted an explanation earlier:

Very interesting, thanks!

Be aware that PO's preformance is not good in amphibious landing operations (e.g. in Taiwan 2016 and Project Kuo-kuang 62).

PO Capabilities can generally be found in the Scenario Description [as seen below]. In some cases this info is not there, especially in the much older scenarios [where they were more concerned with listing unit colors!].

I don't entirely agree, as there are successful amphibious assault scenario designs. I do agree that the PO could use some coding help, but currently if some PO specific design decisions are made, it can work.

The beta team devoted some weeks to playtesting and adjusting the old scenarios but I lost track and
don't know which ones or how many. Somebody knows or has a list somewhere.

There are also a lot of scenarios where the original designers, or a volunteer did significant updates other than a mere confirmation of compatibility.

I will need to read through things to make sure I have a comprehensive list, I'll see what I can do.

Not guaranteed, but usually the TOAW version is listed in the scenario description by the designer. So, generally, if a designer went thru a scenario to 'update' it, the version number will now be TOAW IV.

Will there be a summary table of the scenarios listing the map scale, time scale, unit scale, and scenario length? That would be helpful. Thanks for all the work fellas!!

The 1805 scenario is ok with the scope of the game? I am curious to play napoleonic in this game.

It uses a custom database (that loads automatically with the scenario, so you won't notice). I personally think the pre-20th century battle scenarios stretch the possibilities of the engine a bit, but it still seems to work, and as I recall they have been popular with the community.

As the designer of La Grand Armee 1805, I can say this not napoleonic in the traditional sense (unit squares, cavalry charges, and the like), but grand tactics if you will. From the Black Forest to Austerlitz at 15 km/hex and full-week scale with corps size units.

I see there are sometimes two scenarios covering the same campaign such as "Operation Typhoon 1941" and "Typhoon 41." What is the difference between such scenarios?

Unfortunately two or 3 duplicates got into the version that list was based on. We have tried to catch them all before the game got released, however.

So if you find two scenarios that cover the same subject, that is just two different takes on the same conflict. If the names match, that is a duplication by error and let us know!

I'm not sure myself tho I've heard of one of them. Maybe there was a revision to it and the revision got
renamed? I'm curious myself.

Nothing wrong with a different view and design for same campaign. Thanks for the prompt answer.

Hi,

Some questions. I have never played TOAW but keen to buy given the modern scenarios, which I prefer. I am primarily going to be playing single player, at least for the start.

What does PO stand for? Does it mean AI oponents? Are the majority of the scenarios playable versus the AI?

Thanks.
