Impulse #3

Axis rolls a 7 and Allies a 3, so there is no combat in the Bay of Biscay.

Impulse #3

USSR rail one MIL from Chita to Changchun.

The Nationalist Chinese makes minor adjustments of their defensive lines.

Over to Lord Warspite, the first, for the second part of the impulse.

Land Movement (cont):

United States

The US 15th Army Group continues in their search for Father Christmas in amongst the rich forests of northern Lapland.

Communist Chinese

The Siam Militia begins its long trek east toward Kaifeng, while the 3rd Mountain Corps heads toward Tsinan. Mao's Eastern Army remains in situ.

Soviet Union

On the Far East Front, the 3rd Cavalry continues its lonely trek east toward the coast. Elsewhere there are detail re-arrangements of Koniev's forces.

Zhukov's Northwestern Front tries to prepare for an attack from three sides, but that is nothing compared to Yeremenko and Timoshenko.....

In the southern Ukraine a Soviet Militia unit is ordered to head north through the port of Nikolayev and disrupt German plans for a forward Luftwaffe base. Where does the Dornier wish to re-locate to?

It can't go there, there is a Stuka already there. It can go to Odessa, two hexes west or 1 hex north east.

Air Transport: None

Debark Land Units:
United States

The final land elements of the US 15th Army Group are offloaded into Petsamo.

Paradrop:
Soviet Union

The Soviets 5th Airborne Corps are flown to Mukden. Do the Japanese want to intercept? They have a 6 and a 4 land based fighter, plus 3 carrier air fighters (2 x 4 and a 3 quality). The Soviets have two x 5 quality and the transporting bomber is a 2.

Paradrop (Cont):

The Japanese order the Zero pilots to take to the skies, having been warned of unidentified aircraft approaching aircraft to the east. The Soviet air force organises intercepting fighters to rendezvous with the lumbering transports.... hopefully before the Japanese fighters can get in amongst the paratroop laden aircraft.....

Round 1

Sadly they don't. I assume the Japanese will destroy the bomber and the para (the pilot is also killed) - a 20 is thrown.

The Soviet pilots arrive at the rendezvous to see a bunch of burning transports on the ground and no sign of the Japanese fighters which are already in the Korean capital have Saki and Chips - a 13 is thrown.

Land Combat:
Soviet Union

The Soviets announce an attack on Mukden. The odds are 19.5:4 or 5:1. Do the Japanese want to use defensive HQ Support?

The Soviets bring in two bombers worth 5 points. Do the Japanese want to bring in a 2-factor bomber? Both sides have the same fighters as last time less the one each that flew.

Yes please. 2 factor LND escorted by 4-factor FTR. Can the D3A2 on the CV also join in? If so, add it and have as front bomber.

The Japanese have to clear through a bomber. The choice is: the slightly better attack has the slightly worse tactical factor and vice-versa 2-3 or 3-2. Which one do you want to clear?

The attack brings down an Axis front fighter or bomber (3 thrown). The pilot is saved. Do you want to destroy the Ki-27 fighter or the D2A2 bomber?

This is such a waste of time. AllenK I had to minimise the air to air tray because of the usual crap about disappearing reports. No idea how to get the thing back. Any ideas?

Are you able to minimise the main map to see whether it's hiding behind there?

I am not completely sure what happened. Have you tried alt+tab to activate MWIF again and see if the offending form is on top then?

Try moving the other forms, or maps, around to see if you can find it hiding somewhere. Maybe just a tiny fraction of the form is shown at the edge of the screen.

Try right clicking on the portion of the windows screen where the tool bars go. You should get several options of cascading, stacking, or side by side for the open windows.

Vitally the Japanese add 3 to their score. Where does the Japanese bomber land?
