The AA die rolls were 3, 8, 1, 8, 10.

Against what target will the damage result be applied?

The Italian air force finds the Allied ships once again. (Axis rolls 1 while Allies rolls 5).

How will Italy proceed?

Use 4 points to drop AA to NE and the remaining 2 to boost damage. That should give a D to place on the French BB, thanks.

Will stay another round. No more air support added.

The Allied force have had enough and retires from the sea area. Beirut, Port Said, Aden, and Bombay, are the ports that the ships seek out.

Two sea areas remain for Axis to decide whether they want to activate, or not.

Japan can initiate combat in Coral Sea as well.

USA has one bomber and several fighters (three?) that can reach the sea area.

Will Japan activate the Coral Sea?

Allies had 5 surprise points and didn't feel lucky enough to get both the Japanese submarines out of the sea area so it was deemed more important to secure the supply line than to try and damage one Japanese submarine. Combat avoided.

That it is dinner time had no effect at all on this decision. Action is planned to resume after the one hour dinner break.

Impulse: 3 (Allied)

Land Movement: (Cont)
Communist China

There is little to move in China but Mao's Eastern army continue to edge closer to the coast.

Soviet Union

On the Far Eastern Front, there is a general straightening of the lines.

In the West some seriously difficult decisions need to be made and the Upper Dneipr is abandoned - as is Smolensk. In the south the Donetz line is also largely retreated from. A weak army moves west to try and hold the Taman peninsular and cover is provided by a Tank Army.

Rebase:
China

A Chinese P-40E fighter rebases from Kweilin to the Chinese coast on the French-Indo Chinese border.

Commonwealth

A Mosquito Mk II flies from Malta to Sousse, Tunisia.
A second Mosquito Mk II rebases from Spain to northeast Tunisia.
A Beaufighter Mk IF flies from Rangoon to Singapore.

United States

A B-17F in the Faeroes Gap is unloaded in Liverpool while a P-51B goes to Barrow.

Soviet Union

A MiG 3 flies to west of Tula and an I-153 heads for the shores of the Sea of Azov

Reorganization: None
