Hi folks, I've started the Grenada 83 scenario and am confused by a couple of things. Mainly about supply coming across the sea. How does that work? To the west in the circled area I have no supply base but I do have supply. I assume this is coming from Guam? Does it have to come through one of the ports I have captured? In a previous post I saw that ports have no influence on supply.

Also what are the Evac hexes for? For such a detailed scenario briefing I can find nothing about these. I assume they are a location to evacuate the students to but it seems strange that I can find no mention of this. Maybe I missed something.

Guam?

If you aren't part of the solution, there is good money to be made prolonging the problem.

Yes - to the left of the images. Weird that it is Guam unless it is airborne supply. So where is this supply coming from? Barbados?

Ah - thanks John. Still confused as to how I am supplied though. And why is a ship depicted as an island?

There is a blue-side supply point in Pearls Airport.

Ah - thanks John...why is a ship depicted as an island?

I'd like to know the answer to that myself. Maybe it's so that units can enter the hex even though it's supposed to be deep water for the ship?

EDIT: And besides units need an anchorage to embark in boats to use sea movement.

I assumed it couldn't have come from Pearls as I haven't crossed the middle of the island yet - but then supply in TOAW is a little different to most games. Thanks.

Hex ownership does not block supply. It is only blocked by enemy units (and hexes adjacent to them not covered by friendly units) or impassible terrain.
