Guess it's only a matter of time before someone figure they can use the SM3 BlK IIA airframe for the SM6. Over 200nm Anti-air using off board sensor platform and probably further as a ballistic anti-ship missile.

Even they know this does more harms to many future space programs to the world, those pro-space readers on ARS are supporting India doing it while also sandbagging China. They claimed that the ‘democratic’ ASAT is morally better than Chinese, before to prove if Indian ASAT is actually outperform the latter and internationally accepted.

https://arstechnica.com/science/2019/03/india-shoots-down-a-weather-satellite-declares-itself-a-space-power/

EDIT: and the further discussions later on becomes a mess, everyone blame on each other because this news has no consensus to say whose fault is belongs to after this test.

I don’t remember any news about YJ-18C until FreeBeacon wrote it recently, though it’s worth to take note from it because all ships that capable to carry weaponized containers are also capable for war:

https://freebeacon.com/national-security/china-building-long-range-cruise-missile-launched-from-ship-container/

EDIT: yep, after some searches, YJ-18C is confirmed a made up name from Henri-K’s old post about the coastal variant of YJ-18 many years ago:

It's a less than subtle signalling that they don't need to run any gauntlet of air-deployed mines and NATO subs to be able to hit plenty of things. Like any NATO post in the north of Norway in this particular example.
