Allied radar meant that the better target managed to avoid combat multiple times. Somewhat aggrieved Tanaka turns his attention to a totally unprotected convoy of thin-skinned merchants. Yamato empties her entire magazine of main calibre shells. Mutsu and Kongo still have some, but it is not much. Toying with the prospect of giving chase to the Washington TF but with 4 cruisers and a bunch of cruisers (and the advantage of radar) I think that may just be getting too greedy. Might just chase with a couple of light carriers and see if the bombers can’t snare a couple more victims.
