Download the FP of the heroes seems very successful.

But I would also put in the conditions of the scenario Heroes: rare or limited, or even none, because if you have 2 heroes, the maximum possible, you quickly sacrifice one to get another one, and vice versa, you try to avoid the elimination of the opposites so that they do not appear anymore. It has happened to me to eliminate 2 Russian heroes, and in that same turn to appear 2 more Russian heros. I never heal the heroes, if they were scarce if they were interested in healing them.

The version 0.5 of Counters Mod is now available in this same thread, in publication # 1:

Add the new Partisan, German, and Russian units.
Corrects error US Power Leader unit on his face shaken.
Corrects error in Units.csv file of Pillboxes unit.

CHINCHIN, I don't know what I've done with the install but I noticed there is "problem" with the turret of the PzIVD.

The turret for the PzIVD is correct but as can seen the area around the actual turret on the counter is shown as "black" on the screen instead of transparent to let the hull of the tank be seen. I checked the turret counter in paint.net and, to my understanding, the counter looks correct so I must have made some mistake in the installation of the mod.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much again for your excellent work with the transformation of the counters in "silhouette" mode of Heroes and Leaders mod to the classic mode of "cardboard counters," so much appreciated by many friends of the forum.

As I progress in the development of the scenarios, I'm detecting errors or improvements in the counters already published, so that I proceed to modify the counters “on the fly.” All the changes I make are published "provisionally" in the "counters" folder of the scenario pack, so that the friends who download the scenarios already have the latest version of the modified counters available.

The changes that are now in the scenario pack as well as those that will appear in the new pack (release 4.05), together with the new scenario "Grossdeutschland Yelnya Salient", are as follows:

1 / Modification of the Russian and German pontoon counters (in which you are already working).

2 / Modification of the counters of the second-line Soviet infantry, with more "attractive" drawing.

3 / Modification of the German truck Opel Blitz (until now we were using the original HoS game counter, and now there is a new drawing).

4 / Modification of the German 50mm and 81mm mortar counters (until now we were using the original HoS game counter, and now there is a new drawing).

5 / Modification of the German Machine Gun Teams MG34 and MG42 (until now we were using the original HoS game counter, and now there is a new drawing).

Ok, I must have missed something before because after pasting everything into the correct directories a second time everything is fine. The turret shows up and rotates so all is good.

Just now only the German and Soviet pontoon counters are available.

Soon, when the new "Grossdeutschland Yelnya Salient" scenario is published in the scenario pack (release 4.05), you will have the rest of the new units in the "counters" folder:

- Counters of the second-line Soviet infantry.
- German truck Opel Blitz.
- German mortar counters of 50 mm and 81 mm.
- Teams of German submachine guns MG34 and MG42.
- 37Lmm German anti-tank gun.

-Corrects error US G.I. BAR Squad unit on his face shaken.

In the last pack of scenarios published (release 4.7 of 29 January 2020), there're some changes in the images of the Soviet units:

a/ First-line Soviet infantry (Squads and HS), "HaL_Soviet_Infantry_Sheet-04"

b / Second-line Soviet infantry (Squads and HS), "HaL_Soviet_Infantry_Sheet-05"

c / Soviet Infantry Conscripts (Squads and HS), "HaL_Soviet_Infantry_Sheet-06"

Hi Chinchin,

I played "Audouville-la-Hubert" with Germans.....and I found a little error....
German Leader "Niemitz" (HaL_German_Leaders_Sheet-04), when Shaken, has a Morale 8 (no 7)....
I see with asl3d that "Niemitz/Shaken" have Morale of 7.
So I think, you will modify "HaL_German_Leaders_Sheet-04" with a Morale 7 in his Shaken face (just for the visual....no problem in game....the Units.csv is good)

1) Fixed several erroneous data of the units, especially of the morale factors. (Informed and repaired by Davidraul44, thanks!)

2) Change of images of several counters (Reported by Asl3d, thanks!)

I installed the counters as instructed and it's strange, none of the units show up on the map at all...almost as if they aren't there. Very strange. Any ideas?

If you did a new installation instead of copying and renaming the game folder, make sure to update the game to version 1.10 later.

Check that the Units.csv file of the Counters Mod was overwritten in: C: \ Matrix Games \ Lock n Load Heroes and Leaders mod \ Heroes and Leaders mod

I did both of those things. Everything should be working....it's just not. I'd really like to play the Heroes and Leader's mod, just can't because i have to use counters and just can't seem to get them working.

How are these scenarios for Multiplayer (which is all i play)? Anyone have MP experience with them?

Is the mod with silhouettes going well for you?

My mod is simple, it is to overwrite the .csv file in one place, and the files of the counters in another, there are no more.

Against AI the majority of the scenarios are difficult. I have not played MP.

I agree, installing the counters mod is very simple, it just doesn't work for me. The original mod which uses those silouettes works fine for me, but i don't like it at all and won't play with it that way because it's just too hard to see the units. I hate to say it cause it's a great mod, but i won't play it without counters. So your counters mod to it is perfect....except it doesn't work for me, it's really strange.

Question - it doesn't matter what my install drive and path are right? So long as the units file is in the Heroes and Leaders Mod folder and the other files are in the counters folders right?

Just did a totally brand new install on a separate drive. Followed all instructions. Loaded up a scenario and still no counters at all on the map (map is empty). A buddy of mine (my opponent) did the same. He got the same result, can't see any of the counters.

We can both see the counters (well, not counters, but the original Heroes and Leaders mod graphics for units) for the original Heroes and Leaders mod. It's only after patching with the Counters mod that we get no counters.

It has to be something silly as the install of the counters mod is so basic and simple. Makes no sense...........

UPDATE:

So i continued to mess about wit this. I took the core heroes and leaders mode and applied it again to this install. I verified that i could see the silohuettes (sp). I then took the counters mod and copied the TGA files into the counters folder but DIDN"T copy the units.csv into the Heroes and Leaders mod folder.

I can now see counters except for vehicles and support weapons, which are shown as solid black squares.

So one big step forward. Any idea how to resolve this?
