Are there any map views in their entirety ?

ie …. one or more map views which capture the entire "global" from the games perspective ?

There is no specific map view but the zoom out is huge.

1942 Scenario
Here is a view of Europe. It extends to the USA but picture limitation is up to 200kb so I had to manipulate it.

Hmmmmm the Peters projection type map definitely does looks strange. I assume most boardgames use a mercator type projection? Will have to check.

It may take a while to get used to but it looks ok to me. World in Flames did a mapping exercise in their Matrix forum to try and make the computerised map more accurate. Hopefully the beta testers are checking for accuracy and placement of rivers/cities/ports/rail lines/terrain etc.

Yes other games do use the Mercator system. This way it makes the north part of the map more playable and gives slightly more room in the southern part of the map.

This man stretches to the USA east coast. This is almost it's full vertical. Other theaters were excluded because they had no impact on the game and only added extra work for both players in management.

I regret to say that the map would appear to need considerable work.

I've only been able to check the UK, or more specifically the England and Wales section of the map, but the placement of cities is shockingly inaccurate. The cities of Hull, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool in reality form a crooked line from east to west across northern England with an approximate WSW slant. Leeds is actually marginally north of Hull, but on the map it is well south! Liverpool is near enough correct, but Manchester should be between Leeds and Liverpool not way south and halfway between Leeds and Birmingham! The east coast also is also wrong but that hardly matters in naval or aerial terms and is very unlikely to affect any land battle.

I am well aware that hexagons prevent a totally accurate map, and I can make allowances for that, but these city placements make me question the remainder of the map.
