Status: offline 		Sundas: Yesterday, the RAAF Mk VII's were at Kai-elanden with 100 torps waiting to ambush Jap shipping. The IJN cooperated but some staff flunkie set them to "train". I had to order everyone back to the next set of islands because it looked like Kai-elanden or Saumalki might get a naval bombardment. Yes and yes. Shipping had to beat feet. Indiana sailed up from Darwin but could not reach Kai-elanden in time.

Status: offline 		I let the staff talk me into putting transports at Kunming to fly stuff into Changsa. 45 transports and 40 medium bombers delivering supply from Kunming.

I now see this is a mistake. Better to put perhaps 2/3rd of the ungming transports at Ledo and put the other 1/3 rd at Chunkgking to ferry supplies to Changsa. Then get the garrison down as much as possible at Kunming and try to build up the supply at Kunming to 3x minimum. This will allow overland supply to Chungking which will be a game changer.

How come your bombardments don't do this well? Make sure Mr. Magoo is not the gunnery officer.


Several reasons in the case of Tavoy. It's Jungle Rough with some likely fortifications and there are no support units, all infantry. The AF and port are already crushed so now they are concentrating on dug in infantry. The staff may aso have turned off the spotter plane..stupid bastards.

Status: offline 		Case study of supply routes to Chungking.

The central route is already open and could provide supply once a week.

The southern route requires some hex side clearing. A capture of Kweiyang would open things up big time but even the Japs can see that. The main road directly from Kunming to Chungking has some serious Jap units guarding it.

The Northern route requires the clearing of a Jap unit up near the Himalayas and the city of Neikinag.

Having a clear road from Rangoon to Tsuyung is all that is necessary. The Bangkok-Rangoon portion has been interdicted by the dirt roads endemic to the area, and a stretch of jungle from Chang Mai to Pegu if you take the rail line to its terminus.
