Near Leningrad, i rescue 1 hex. Only for delay of death.

then i'm thinking:

Its turn 11 and his tanks are still up near Leningrad.

I have hope.

and look for rain and mud.

it was attack to cut off the tip.

And the tip will be isolated for 1 turn.

Still i could not forgo the chance to rout the tip and really save a turn before Moscow's gate. 5 sided attack.

Was this difficult attack a game changing loss?

final Moscow

I know he is not using all his tanks each turn. He will have at least one or 2 ready at very good mp for the next turn thus a major worry each turn.

final south

Again i really cannot afford to lose troops.

If i had more i might be inclined to hold near here but....

By my retreating he did not have to use his tanks for another turn. Maybe a bad move on my part.

Final Leningrad.

Again:

I retreat. But by doing so i will learn it allowed tyronec to start redeploying his tanks towards Moscow.

And he will do so very efficiently and effectively.

But i had to try and save these units near Leningrad.

north final

His tanks have mostly left area leaving infantry to do the mop up. His barely has a screen on Leningrad .

Still what a mess. Leningrad will be easily cut.

A tactical comment on your five-sided attack on 12th Pz and 60th Mot. At least one of the Soviet stacks had previously attacked that turn, increasing fatigue. Three stacks were attacking across a river. Also the five stacks are from three different Fronts, causing 30% CV reduction.

I don't argue against an aggressive defense, and you have done well in other places, but this attack was unlikely to succeed. I would expect Tyronec would take advantage of the fatigued enemy units in his next turn.

As expected, Tyronec crossed the Moskva in two places against the exhausted troops and extended two additional hexes beyond.

The Eng/Art values in this game seem very high. In turn 13 the Soviets have 24/13 resulting in attacking CV increasing from 174 to 679.

How are these high values achieved? Did the Soviets create many Sapper Regiments?
