China...nothing happening except some very minor rail road clearing, but still China has the lines cut. Inexplicable.

Flying in over 60 supplies per day now from Ledo, the 254th Armored, two Indian Mtn Guns, and one 40mm AA unit form up the Chinese Expeditionary Army so far.

Meanwhile Singapore and Palembang continue to harden...

1200+ AV at Palembang, forts 3 and building, supply over 130K with more on the way.

Singapore 1200 AV, forts 3 and building, supply over 150K. Buffaloes are strong.

China not threatened.

Poor Japan...

You make it seem easy.

Of course the Japanese are helping you by not doing much.

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may. In this case, see if there's a big Chinese corps you can buy out, march to India, and then ship to Sumatra! By this point in time, you could start looking at ways of forting up the other nearby bases to make them just as unpleasant to take.

Your opponent needs to bring up some Netties to interdict your transports and Zeroes to sweep away your Buffalos. You've had a month to train your pilots, move LCUs, build forts, prep for bases, build up reserve pools, and recover damaged devices, so moving in on the DEI is already going to be that much harder

Ok I get it, given the start, surrendering now simply saves time and effort but wow.

Called it several days ago. (See post 51.)

Seriously, sad it turned out this way. Was looking forward to a nice long 'bloody' war. How morbid am I?

Way too late, Rusty. Alfred called it before it started.

Yes, I can claim my first call was on 31 July, post #463 on page 16. With subsequent follow up calls in posts #529 and #544. All before the first turn had been sent to Lowpe.

Actually, there is an upside.

This AAR holds the world record of pre 1st turn resolution post/page discussion. How about bookending it with a new post end world record of game post/page discussion? We could run a fantasy league of Japanese moves and get Lowpe to inform us of his fantasy counters. Imagine the "fun" of having several different fantasy turns proposed by the readership, readers voting on the winner for that turn, and then getting Lowpe to respond. At 2 day turns, why we might get this fantasy game up to the start of February 1942, with luck all the way to the end of the amphibious bonus period. Surely that would make this the longest post end of game AAR.

Your last post about the game was number 1112 for a total of 37 days which equates to how many turns? 19 turns? If so, that is over 58 posts per turn? If I am not incorrect with my math, but that may also be a record, could it not?

I still want to see Lowpe as the Allies. There must be some Samurai out there. I think it would be a great contest.

Hey Old Man, just remember the first sign of old age is "I don't remember!"

Looking at 'I don't remember' in the rear view mirror.

But it carries a valuable lesson for all JFBs. Do not tarry in the beginning! Strike the iron while it is hot else you are in a world of pain in the hands of a competent AFB

Also, it was a not so balanced match up skillwise and now Lowpe's is free for another game

Apparently so. Either that, or they said "Oh, ****ta!"
