This does give cover for Batoe-elanden to start to recover and Sinabaong goes to level 2 so we can drop supplies to the Assies inland on Sumatra and maybe ove up some dive bombers.

Favorable loss ratios again but it's getting desperate. Units are kept in line until they have 50% disablement then I send them back to Bataan for refit. 4th Marine is like an understrength Bn and the US Army Regt is light on heavy weapons and maybe 20% line infantry strength. We are running low on M-10's too. 18 Shermans left.

Worst gig in the Pacific in WWII(e). Almost daily air and artillery attacks for 17 months and now banzai charges 1 or two times a week.

Actually, I lied. Last trip back to R&R 4th Marine and 31st IR picked up '43 infantry squads.

4th Marine has nor mortars or heavy MG but I think that dates back to Dec 7 as well

This does give cover for Batoe-elanden to start to recover and Sinabaong goes to level 2 so we can drop supplies to the Assies inland on Sumatra and maybe ove up some dive bombers.

Be sure to include toilet paper ...
