We have good enough fighter cover at Dobo and at Darwin to roughly handle any strikes they can generate (unless they brought lots of friends). I'll give it a minimum of three more days; if AV is rising fast then I'll wait; if AV is merely creeping upward then I'll assault. The old battleships stay put tomorrow; after that they will make for their jump off point near Iwo-Jima (a two day journey) to stand by. • Today's action is what was expected and what I expect in the near future.
