Sumatra: Another day of uninterrupted disembarkation at Sabang.

The LARPers get mauled by air attacks all day and then 4th Tank Regiment shows up and there is nothing left but make-up and furry suits. Damnit..now they will start bombing somewhere else.

Back to back shock attacks he should take a few days off from the ground assaults and let the artillery and air attacks continue to soften you up and then maybe his shock attack will move the multipliers in his favor.

Yes. The local Allied air superiority over Bataan is protecting the field but consuming a lot of supply. I had to do something. A few units returning to Bataan from Clark are also drawing supply. Ultimately, the only solution is to bring in a massive resupply effort.

Banckert, an 8 pt AK and a 6 pt AP is sunk. One RN CA has to head for Colombo for Bondo and a paint job. I don't think the Imperial High Command will be happy about that. There were probably 25 AP's and 2 CA's at Padang.

Another British Brigade is ashore. We have a likely permanent foothold on Sumatra.

PI: No air attacks on Clark or Bataan, Very substantial IJN naval blockade off of Bataan. All 4 of our AK's trying to reach Mindanao are sunk by carriers or E boats in the Phillipine Sea

There were 200 troops aboard USS President Tyler (with a top speed of 2 kts). I think the were able to get ashore.

That's 380 AC aboard fast CV's plus about 320 on CVE's.

Figure one CVE for a replacement F6F or F4F squadron and some P-47's on Long Island ready to fly off if we take and AF.

That's about 550 AC at the head of the attack.

6 more carriers coming by end of July but the guys on Luzon can't wait.
