Whenever I construct a public asset, the production cost in pop is used during construction and then worker count drops to upkeep count.

For private assets, they never shake off the production pops. For example, a police station I has a production cost of 2000 pop and upkeep of 100 pop. After construction it sits steadily at 2,1K pop. Museum I at 1,1K pop and so forth. A Dome-Farm III hogs a whopping 39,2K pop.

I've been a forum member since 2006, but I'm afraid I can't provide an image of the issue. Apparently I'm not trustworthy enough yet :D

I didn't pay a lot of attention to the issue, but I've played for ~100 hours by now and I think it's happened in every game of mine. I think it's the reason my private assets were getting mothballed pop was in a really high demand all the time.

Okay, I just realized this was purely my mistake. The production pops are always needed for any asset to produce something - quite logically. Upkeep pops are what are needed just to keep an asset in a working condition - again quite logically.

The thing that threw me off was that I was looking at construction pops on the public side. They get unassigned when construction completes, as they should.

No bugs around! Sorry for the confusion
