How do we defend the South Pacific: Espiritu and New Hebrides

Now, we get to the very aggressive part of the plan. Sending the 2nd Marine Rgt and 2nd Pion Bn to Luganville. Using the four 22 Speed xAPs from the west coast.

They just refueled from an AO off of Christmas Island. We have the ability to cover with the carriers from Pago Pago, the KB is likely at Truk but I expect the KB needs to get back to the NEI given the mess that is there.

The route is also covered by PBY's. 71 Hexes to go....

We also are landing Austiral Inf Companies on both Efate and Tanna.

Quite Possibly. The hope is the air units can move around as needed. The land units I will have some lift in the area to move them around as needed but I do fall into the aggressive allied camp.....

If he comes with the KB, your troop lifters will never make it.

If you want to be aggressive, invade Iwo Jima . . .

That must have been a terrible thing to do. A heck of a Christmas present, is it not?

The Murasame should have kept the Petty Officers girly periodicals off the ship, the new ratings must have gotten ahold of them . . .

It was a nice surprise when I saw the replay over coffee in the morning. This is the short window of fun you can have with the allies if the KB fleet is playing in the Southwest Pacific.

Combat at Jolo & Singkawang

Sometimes you can learn a lot from what is in the combat reports and what the map shows you in moving into hexes. For example, there was no HQa that landed or attached at either Jolo or Singkawang. It is possible that it was in the landing force I smashed. As long as none of the torpedos are around I am happy.

Another thing to do is to form an amphibious TF at Hong Kong, load up what you can of each unit and send it to Kwangchowan. Another one can haul supplies there as well.

I tried to slip a couple of transports to Hong Kong to carry supplies and maybe lift some a few units out but alas he has a very effective naval air search that prevented anything of that nature from working......

The floatplane units at Hong Kong can carry troops. Combined with the Chinese transport squadron, I normally fly out the RN Base Force to Changsha to give you a little more aviation support in the theatre,
