WitE2 Team, can you share how many purchases were made? Even an approximate number? Are you happy with the results?

Absolutely zero chance Matrix will release commercially sensitive information like that but good effort

Congratulations! For what it matters, the guarantee of a Steam key at a later date was a big factor in the day 1 purchase for me.

I'm tactical wargamer at heart, though I have the original WITE, WIW and I couldn't pass on the opportunity to get WITE2. Something new to learn and enjoy, in this crazy Covid time.

Just curious, what's a War in the East player's recommended tactical PC games?

I did and with no experience of the predecessor games I am so overwhelmed at the complexity that I feel like a drooling moron. The sheer complexity of the game was evident to me via a couple of late beta videos, although I had hoped to be led and propped up like the noob baby I am and in this regard it was a little disappointing the training videos were not included as per the manual. However, I accept that the community will inevitably step forward to produce some video tutorials and in the meantime will follow what is already there and accept that I will probably have to burn a lot of hours to get a basic grounding in how to play the game. Anyway, it just feels right to support this product, even if it takes me a while to actually play it.

I was going to but I don't think that my HP is up to it! It looks like some of the high end machines are having problems? It's hard to make a program that will run perfect on any machine!

Yes, we should all hope they sell many more copies than expected and support what is now a very niche hobby. Having played other MMP games, and talked to players on TS, 90% have no idea about games like this, and sometimes you find that "one person" who is willing to see the larger picture, and not just drive a tank around. These guys are not doing this for the money, but for the love of the subject matter.

Yeah, maybe a combination of the WitP:AE Naval model and the WitE2 ground and air model. Ok, there is the concept, get to work you 2by3 guys!

+1 for Command Ops 2.

+2 for command ops.

My magic triangle is :
- WitX for theater warfare
- CommandOps2 for Corps-sized to Division-sized warfare (indeed let's you see what happens when you make a deliberate attack in WitX)
-SteelPanther for Tactical warfare (let's you see what happens when those small counters make a lot of funky noises in CommandOps2)

...and I don't play individual level (sorry World of Tanks)

I feel this magic triangle addresses all the different levels of ww2.
(at least on the ground)

I am hopeless WitP-AE addict, but WitE 2 is pretty damn good, even in early beta the game was good and got better.

I also have WitE and WitW. Played surprisingly little both.
