Idea 1#
Would be really handy if you could click on a OHQ and see their command range much in the same way as seeing movement range. But perhaps the hexes will be shaded blue or gold color. This would give the player a quick overview of what units it has within that operational range or not.

Idea #2
Also a secondary suggestion related to this (if there isn't already a feat in existence) is a feat could be a recon drone that is attached to the leader that will boost their operational range by 2 or 3 hexes wide.

The color coding could be most adapted from the "show Op-Log." view. However that would mean it would be mutually exclsive with said view. And I find that view a whole lot more usefull.

Well i guess whatever color would fit maybe even using a criss-cross pattern as well to make it more unique.

Whilst the player has an OHQ selected, draw a border of the OHQ's assigned colour around the hexes at the outermost edge of the OHQ's command range. Easy, and minimal conflict with existing overlays.

Throw in an optional toggle to show all OHQ command ranges (enjoy your battle lines looking like the olympic rings...

) and you're done.

There's already a similar attached unit for artillery - spotter drones - so I'd suggest making it either a research thing (similar to adv. recon equipment) or changing the fluff of the card to being something like "High-Grade/Republic Comms Gear" to avoid confusion. Broadcasts further, less susceptible to enemy jamming, better audio quality, either way all adds up to +command range.
