Good morning!

It is warm . . . somewhere!

The sun is shining . . . always, even if it is above the clouds or on the other side of the world!

The air is calm . . . somewhere!

Babies are being made . . . somewhere!

The same to you. As far as I go . . .

I need to make coffee. I need the caffiene . . .

Then I will shoot myself. Probably, anyway . . .

Well then, the sun is already over the yardarm - which happens around 11 am.

I grew up in Boston. My brother and I took out a Sunfish at castle island. I don't even think we were teenagers yet. But we got too close to the area where water runs in and out of the area and we didn't just capsize the boat we turtled it (for those not familiar with the turtle term it means the mast wasn't just lying on the water it was pointed at the bottom so boat 180 degrees from normal. It was a real bear to get her back on an even keel.

In other words, it capsized.

Take peanut butter, put it between two snack cracker, then dip into candy coating. Place on waxed paper to harden. For decoration for fancy occasions, sprinkle those little candy sprinkles for color. Enjoy your peanut butter stackers.

When the candy coating level gets too low, then put in some hard chow mein noodles and stir. Maybe even a few raisans and dehulled nuts. Drop by generous spoonfuls onto waxed paper to harden. Enjoy your haystacks.

Melt a cup of chocolate chips. Stir in one cup of creamy peanut butter. Use that to frost bars or other things.

quote:

CHOCOLATE CHIP MELT PIE

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together chocolate chips, nuts, and eggs. Add sugar,
butter, and flour. Stir in vanilla. Pour into pie shell and place on a baking sheet. Bake in center of oven for 30 minutes or until pastry is lightly browned and filling is bubbling. Let stand for a few minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Can you imagine that pie served warm with small scoops of ice cream on it? So the ice cream softens and begins to melt, going into the pie? Maybe even with a little chocolate syrup drizzled on top?

I would take those pies to school for a computer project. No one in the computer class ever complained about those pies. I wonder why . . .

A piece of pie went to the person who worked as the cashier for the cafeteria. Later the recipe went as well. The culinary arts program started including that pie in their program.

Just think: a large and very good coffee with a rather large, fresh from the oven, caramel roll for breakfast.

Nice recipes. I started a recipe thread years ago. I don't remember the name of it....GP

Good morning - Tithe.

Edit to correct the subject line to it's proper form, all caps and 3 exclamation points.

Just invite me to the alien spacecraft. Spent too much time in NYC working but enjoyed my time working and living in London. But the spacecraft would be an interesting new experience.
