Sorry for the lack of Posting lately was taking a small break and playing a lot of Wite2

(I already wrote this once and my thing timed out and now kind of pissed)

22nd-30th April

Australian Command

Air battle's rage in the South of OZ this week alone hundred's between both side's have bin shoot down.

Townsville was Captured with this most of the north at this point is gone only a few nominal base's remain that will be captured in due time.

so here are my current plan's for the rest of the invasion of Australia.

Orange for on land movement, Black for naval invasion/s and white for possible paradrops.

Current plans

Future plans

Philippines front

Bataan was finally captured meaning that all of the Philippines has bin conquered freeing up 2 div's and 1 brigade. At least one of these div's will head for Australia while the rest will be used for other invasions

China Front

Sian has fallen Giving me more oil for the refineries in Manchuria.

State of the Empire

Another month and the air war still rage's bloodier then ever this month I fear this month will be the same as I do plan on extending my perimeter in the south Pacific by taking Suva and then Pago Pago.
Now Next month will hopefully bring the invasion of Suva before this I need to kill all the Air there but I want to finish off Melbourne so that I can commit that Airforce so this next week or two while troops are moving into position will be Sweep's of Melbourne then Suva hopefully bringing the end of the allied air force in the South Pacific.

May 1st - 8th

Australian Front

so far it's bin Peaceful after the last 2 month's of ragging battle for air dominance I seem to not beadle to obtain it towards the end of last month I had Melbourne down to 50 but 2 day's after that it jumped back up to 150. with that More Aviation support is moving into Augusta this will give me another 100 support allowing more fighter's to be based out of the base. But as it stands right now in Melbourne there's about 169 allied Fighter's compared to me:
132 Land based fighter's
113 carrier Fighter's
I would rather have an extra 90 more plane's to really give me a chance to kill well over 100 plus plane's. after some consideration I was debating on Moving MKB based out of Noumea over here this will give me another 66 fighter's hopefully driving my number's to well over 400 that will be next turn's task though. the sweep I hope should happen within the next week I need to really start on Suva as almost all my invasion Force's are at Truk or a few day's arriving from Truk.

South Pacific

Now the invasion plan's for Suva in truk at the moment around 5 Nav Gd unit's are here prepping to take some of the Island in this area I also have the 14th Div fresh out of Manchuria along with the 7th Ind Tank Brigade, 56th Div, 8th Tank regiment, and around 5 art unit's the initial landing will be at Nadi as to capture and airbase it's not as defended as Suva it's self.

These will be the main landing point's of the initial invasion additional landing at other base will happen as either June of July progresses

May 9th-13th

Australian Front

As MKB sails for Melbourne aircraft baring report's of numerous taskforce's about 13 hex's as the plane fly's from Melbourne bearing southwest.
Now reports claims about 6 taskforce's with a total number of 41 ships around 2 maybe 3 carrier's are present as reports claim around 50 fighters and 90 bomber's are showing. Now MKB only hold's Junyo, Ryuju and Zuiho with around 66 fighter's and 65 bomber's I could take on this carrier group and hope for the best but we'll see I wasn't spotted today so if I'm not tomorrow I might strike the next day as I wait for KB to sail form Augusta.

It's bin a couple day's and there's a lot to report so let's start

May 14th-June 1st

2 weeks have gone by in the couple day's I haven't posted and lot's has happened so I'll make it short as possible and hopefully not drag on.

To start off MKB had several small engagements with the American carrier's harassing's them one battle at max range got one bomb hit on his carrier's then things turned for the worse as His carrier's instead of heading for Auckland dashed for Pago Pago or Suva and sunk Junyo, and Zuiho with 1 DD.
Ryjuo made it out with only minor damage. As I look at it now I should have retreated to Noumea as the KB was only a day or two away and chased them with a combine force I was trying to be to greedy and cut of his retreat were I should have just bin patient and waited.
About a few day's later after the American disappeared into the vast ocean KB caught sight again and dropped around 3 to 4 250 KG bomb hit's per carrier now at this point from my prospective this was no where near enough to sink his carrier's. But the nex day as his carrier fled the area an American surface task force tried to engage me at night and failed and was absolutely obliterated with 1 CA, 1 CL and at least 4-5 DD's sunk.

After that KB sailed toward's Tahiti as I asume he would head that way for fuel since Auckland and Pago Pago were obvious place's he would retreat to. after a day or two heading that way I decided that I would turn around to NZ to see if he was there mabey sink something while there but my plane's didn't fly due to weather and decided to retire to Noumea as I can't afford to lose any other carrier's right now. But one day reports came in that over 50 American plane's were destroyed on the ground SBD's, Devestators, and Wildcat's and the VP I got also indicated that one of his carrier sank which really surprised me as I thought I didn't score enough hit's must have bin unlucky and have a magazine explosion or something. An Email asking my opponent if this was true in his word's "I don't want to talk about it" which definitely confirms my suspicion even with out that the game pointed at a carrier sinking. So as of right now this leave's him with all Britsh carrier's and Either Yorktown and Saratoga or Hornet and Saratoga. me with Soryu,Shokaku,Zuikaku,Akagi, Ryjuo, and Shoho and I've decided to accelerate the carrier I get in July by a bit and should get it in around 8 day's.

In other new's large amount of sweeps have bin happening over Suva has now since my carriers went on a chase I decided it was time to launch the Suva invasion soon So far around 40k troops are reported on the Island 27k in Suva and 10k in Nadi my initial landing force will consist of 65k troops around 3 div's and 2 tank Brigade/Regiment's.

2 div's are marching towards Broken hill as it seem's my opponent has bin building this airbase up and I want it and the resource's would be nice as it should start affecting his production in Australia I hope.

Also I'm going to start doing state of the Empire bimonthly as not to much is happening I'll pick the pace back up on them later on as the war start to turn against me but as of right now Massive amount's of plane's are being lost and not to many battle's being fought so not much to report really.

If he was running his damaged carrier at flank speed to stay ahead of your KB he might have suffered catastrophic failure of his battle damage ending in a rapid sinking when he wasn't suspecting it. I had an American carrier in a previous game in the early 192 period that had medium damage heading to Darwin at cruise speed and one 1 hex away when everything fell apart with battle damage and sank in a stunning surprise.

ya that's most likely what happened. or he has fire's on one of his ships he couldn't put out and that's what caused it to go out I will never know.

June 2nd-15th

lot's of minor actions have bin happening everywhere these past two week's so I'll try to update you on everything that's going on

South Pacific Front

With Suva invaded I've decided to rename it to South Pacific front so I don't over lap area's. Well as said earlier Suva was invaded the initial invasion as said before hosted 3 div's and 1 tank regiment and 1 tank brigade with a host of Art. Most of my fleet was there as well with all active carrier's in the area and most of my battle ship's.
After the initial invasion my first action was to put of Suva Airfield around 2 battleships plus numerous cruisers and destroyer's bombarded the base Damaging or destroying around 100 plane's then later in the day massive sweeps and bombing raid's swooped in to finish off what was left there as of now the airbase has bin put of of action and with that my carrier retire to Japan for Upgrade's and much needed repair's from January's carrier battle. also of some note Shokaku was torped for only 5 major damage.

this is my carrier's after month's of being at sea going to no ship yard at all now I know it was risky but After the engagement in January and having my carrier's out for two month's would have bin a Hugh mistake on my part I believe.

Back to Fiji Nadi held out for around a week and has fallen I'm waiting on more supplies and the arrival unit's from the Philippines 65th brigade along with 48th Div are being brought in with support as well.

Port Augusta has bin bombed constantly losing me around 3 to 4 AKE's as right now I don't have enough Fighter squadron's in the area has most were moved to help Fiji invasion well now there going to be brought back and with new plane's like the A6m5 and Tojo being massed produced Australian air superiority should be mine very soon.

Burma Front

the allied air presence has bin stepping up in this region many allied sweep's have bin damaging or destroyed lot's of plane's causing more reinforcement's to be committed to the area. after my carrier's repair and upgrade I plan on sending them up here as the Britsh fleet hasn't bin seriously harmed yet and needs a reminder that the Empire doesn't take kind to what he's trying todo

15th - 26th June

As a lot has happened I'll make Burma Front and South Pacific into two different Message's for today.

South Pacific
to kick thing's off the 15th saw a small American taskforce bombard Rockhampton for minimal damage. retaliator strike from that base later in the day saw at least 3 DD's sink with CL tromp heaving heavy fries, heavy Damage she most likely sank as well.
the 16th started off with a Jap DD being torped and sank after word's... after that my opponent has had around 40 to 50 bomber's parked at Adelaide for around most of this month saw I sought to put it out of action my bombardment was spouse to happen in the night phase but didn't so my sweeps luckily meant no resistance and the Bombardment at the end of the put the base out of action
Naval bombardment of Adelaide at 75,163

Runway hits 42
now the next few day's saw minimal action but the 21 started out with the arrival of an American battleship at Nadi DD's guarding transport's were unloading supplies when 3 DD's and a BB showed up the. Now this is the first American BB I have seen since like December at least 3 to 5 were torped between December and January and since not a single one has showed up but now today one did and well it didn't go well for him. I assume my opponent was trying to bombard Nadi but was not able to break through my small taskforce we both traded a DD and he scampered away

Vehicles lost 24 (12 destroyed, 12 disabled)

Airbase hits 35
Airbase supply hits 2

now after what happened I did not want a naval engagment since most of my ships would be out of ammo after such a successful bombardment but one was bound to happen and well the result's went great atleast 2 more American DD's sank along with the Pennsylvania with me suffering minor damage to 3 of my BB's and Kongo going to need some yard time

DD Gwin, Shell hits 2, heavy fires
DD Nizam, Shell hits 9, heavy fires, heavy damage

now to the present order's for the 26th Fighter's have bin gathering at Brisbane around 50 with that I've gathered around 150 fighter's of my own and will sweep the base so that bombing can commence to put the base out of action.
Then looking around to see what other base Near Fiji my opponent could be using I saw Hoorn Island built up to a level 3 base with ships, plane's and troops at the base if my taskforce can make it a bombardment of the base should happen tomorrow with an arrivl of a div to conquer it in less then a week.

15th-26th

Burma front

we start off with the 17th as the first 2 day's it was pretty boring with a British carrier raid at this point I've had a cruiser taskforce just brought up to Rangoon for protection and my opponent saw an opportunity to sink the taskforce. Unlucky for him cap was protecting the ships. around 60 or saw Albacore's showed up unescorted and were massacred report's came in claim around 60 or saw were shoot down if that's true my opponent only get's like 100 of these plane's and well he's down to 40 so most British torped squadron's will be suffering until the avenger start which isn't until early 44.
On the 18th report's were coming on Ramree Island he had a massive taskforce there with a carrier now I assumed he might have retreated there has my opponent is trying to build the airbase up and I decided to sank my cruiser taskforce out for a chase unlucky for me when my taskforce arrived there on the 19th I was in for a rude awakening as 3 British BB's were guarding the taskforce POW, Royal Sovereign, and Resolution. With this fault in either my report's or me not looking close enough to see what he had I really thought I dug my self a bigger hole as I could not afford to lose any more CA's well luckily for me it was raining with 32% moon light and my cruisers landed 3 torps a piece on Roayl, and Resolution sinking them with another torp landing on a DD sinking her with only so far CL Naka being sunk

Night Time Surface Combat, near Ramree Island at 54,48, Range 7,000 Yards

Japanese aircraft
no flights

Allied aircraft
no flights

Japanese aircraft losses
E7K2 Alf: 1 destroyed

Allied aircraft losses
Walrus II: 1 destroyed

Japanese Ships
CA Nachi, Shell hits 8, Torpedo hits 1, heavy fires, heavy damage
CL Naka, Shell hits 10, and is sunk
CL Isuzu, Shell hits 8, heavy fires, heavy damage
CL Kinu, Shell hits 2
DD Nowaki, Shell hits 5, on fire
DD Arashi, Shell hits 2
DD Hagikaze
DD Oshio, Shell hits 7, heavy fires

Allied Ships
BB Prince of Wales, Shell hits 1
BB Royal Sovereign, Shell hits 23, Torpedo hits 3, heavy fires, heavy damage
BB Resolution, Shell hits 10, Torpedo hits 3, and is sunk
CL Hobart, Shell hits 1
CL Emerald, Shell hits 4, on fire
CL Glasgow, Shell hits 5, on fire
CL Caledon
DD Thanet, Shell hits 2
DD Arrow, Shell hits 2, heavy fires
DD Decoy, Shell hits 2
DD Express, Shell hits 5, Torpedo hits 1, and is sunk

Now looking at this what a great combat Nachi will most likely sink along with Isuzu but sinking 2 BB's was well worth it. It almost became 3 as ss I-153 got sight's on POW but missed all 4 torp's how sad has it could have possibly saved my Ca since it was chased and got into another combat with POW
Night Time Surface Combat, near Ramree Island at 54,48, Range 1,000 Yards

Japanese Ships
CA Nachi, Shell hits 24, heavy fires, heavy damage
CL Isuzu, heavy fires, heavy damage
DD Nowaki, Shell hits 1
DD Arashi
DD Oshio, Shell hits 8, heavy fires, heavy damage

Allied Ships
BB Prince of Wales, Shell hits 1
CL Hobart
CL Emerald
CL Caledon, Shell hits 1
DD Thanet

Night Time Surface Combat, near Ramree Island at 54,48, Range 2,000 Yards

Japanese Ships
CA Nachi, Shell hits 8, heavy fires, heavy damage
CL Isuzu, Shell hits 10, heavy fires, heavy damage
DD Nowaki, on fire
DD Arashi
DD Oshio, and is sunk

Allied Ships
BB Prince of Wales
CL Hobart, Shell hits 1
CL Emerald
CL Caledon
DD Thanet

at the end of the day 1 CA, 2 CL's and 1 DD for the Japanese with 2 BB's and at least 1 DD confirmed for the American's it's a tactical victory for me but a strategic for my opponent since it's Cruiser's I can't replace and he can afford BB's since Pearl harbor never happened.

otherwise my opponent has bin bombing my force's gathering for an assult on his strong hold of Ramree which should happen in another week at most.

June 26th-July 8th

So these past few day's well could have bin better for me.

South Pacific

So to start off in the last few day's of June a Naval bombardment of Suva was ordered again but an American BB taskforce showed up With Nevada escorted by 3 CA's, 3 CL's and 4 DD's.
out of the Taskforce at least Nevada, Houston and Leander was sunk with only minimal damage to my ship's that was a great start to the month of July for me but then around July 4th it started going down hill.
An Allied carrier taskforce showed up near Fiji I expected something like this to happen but not this early as my carrier's still could have bin in the area even though there refitting in Tokyo by now. Well on this day his carrier's sunk 2 CVE's and a TB. At this point I was talking with some one on what todo and I did a daring maneuver with two BB's trying to catch his carrier's possibly going back to Pago Pago well I was wrong he went south of Fiji his carrier's again launched storied sinking two xAP's , AO, CA, and putting 4 torp's into Mutsu. this was another devas ting day after last one as I also might lose a BB at this point since it was only making 2 knot's. This time all ships left the combat area and have bin retreating ever since his carrier's are near Hoorn Island now and seem to be heading to Marshall Island area possibly I'm not sure.
Also it's bin at least 4 day's since Mutsu has bin torped and she's still afloat she's going to try to make it to Anatom and then up to Rabaul there are a lot of sub's in the area so We'll see if she can make it out alive.

Also I have lost several cargo ship's and support ships in Nadi due to heavy port bombings.

State of the Empire
May-June
it's bin two month's since the last one I've bin quiet busy with school and work so I'll continue the 2 month thing until finals are over.

These past two month's have bin quiet bloody Air losses for both side's are climbing around 1100 plane's for both side's have bin shoot down these last 2 month's

pilot's killed

So this is what my air force total's look like it's bad but I hope it's worse for my opponent.

Navy losses have also bin large these past few month's at least 4 BB's sunk for the Allied side with a carrier while 1 Japanese CV and CVL are sunk

Allied ship losses

Japanese

Naval compositions

Allied side

so as it stand's 3 American carrier's are sunk Enterprise, Hornet, Lexington leaving the allies with Yorktown, Saratoga, Wasp, Hermes, Indomitable, Formidable, Illustrious, and long Island. Now I know some of the British carrier's leave soon does anyone know which date's they leave on?
Allies should also have around 15 BB's right now with 5 confirmed sunk and just saying I'm not going through Cruisers and destroyed since I'm not sure on all confirmed kills and there's a lot of them.

Japanese side

It stands 4 Japanese carrier's are sunk plus with July 2 CVE's Hiryo, Kaga, Junyo, Zuiho, Taiyo, and Hosho, this leave's me with Hiyo, Shoho, Soryu, Shokaku, Zuikaku, Akagi, Ryujo, and Unyo.

As it stand's the Allies have a total of 417 deck space while I have 446 now I barley have superiority which is bad but in November December a new CVL and 3 new CVE's will be arriving while my opponent will have 7 New CVE's arriving with at least 2 Britsh carrier's gone so
at the end of this year I should have 561 with the allies having 562 So by then we'll be equal which is something I don't want but next year with the arrival of 5 new CV's and my opponent getting 13 new CVE's, 6 CV's, and 7 CVl's it's looking bad for me I need to sink the last 3 American carrier's without losing any of mine for me to be in a superiors position for most of 43 and early 44

July 9th - 23rd

South Pacific

After the heavy IJN losses of the first week of July and almost shutting down the Nadi airport. The allies didn't not push there advantage and keep reinforcing Fiji. After several Naval bombardment's of Nadi the allies Fleet left the operational area and either back at Pago Pago or Pearl or south to NZ or OZ. I took advantage of leaving the area with Nadi being fixed back up plane's were moved back in and went right to work shutting down Suva gain most plane's have left the base now and with the reinforcement's he put there I spell a doom for his garrison. The 1st Div was just purchased out of Manchuria and will arrive to Nadi within a few week's.

Oz has bin a death trap for B-17's as of lately from the 9th around 40 or so have bin shoot down with Nick's taking up the majority of the kills.

as of lately my opponent has toned down his fighter usage and seems to now be reserving his strength and only defending key base's like Melbourne and Sydney. With this in mind more sweeps over Melbourne will commence to Destroy more Airframe's I need to pick up the pace so that when the P-40k start's production he will be scraping the barrel while I should have a decent pool going with almost 200 zero's/ 160 Tojo's being produced and with the new arrival of the Tony next month I'll be producing well over 400 fighter's per month.
But most of my Tony's will advance to the 1945 variant to get production of that model faster.

As a final note for this Area Brisbane has bin bombed for several day's seeing large amount's of fire's started ravaging through the industry.

Burma

So far it's quiet over here Indomitable was torped 3 time's and is most likely either pulled out of the theater or in a repair shipyard. With that I will have more flexibility with my fleet in the area. With the air seemingly quiet in OZ now with his fighter's on stand by the same goes for up here most of his fighter's are now sitting in Calcutta Where I rather not fighter him so I'll leave him be for now but with that Force will finally be able to move on Ramree Island and destroy the 30 thousand garrison there.

China

most of my advanced have bin halted for the moment as I wait for more troops and supplies to get into key Areas but on the upside Lanchow was taken and with that My oil For China/Manchuria is secured finally giving me a positive oil increase per down now instead of a negative one.

July 24th - August 1st

All Theaters

Major air raid's are happening everywhere I ran into some cap traps losing around a 100 to 150 or so bomber's lot's of my losses where in Australia where i tried to beat through some cap and some order's I forgot to take down causing a lot of my losses. on the other hand I have bin massively sweeping the allies in all theaters were I would say around 100 or so fighter's have bin shoot down for both side's. Now I can make up my losses as so far I am out producing my losses.

on the bright side Soryu, Zuikaku, Hiyo, Ryujo, and Shoho have arrived in the South pacific while Akagi and Shokaku will reinforce them after there repair's are done. but I think I have great timing as Allied carrier's were spotted 320(8 Hex's) off of Tarawa while my carrier's are 240(6 Hex's) off of Rabaul I will be moving on the spot as we speak in term's of number report's are coming in off around 61 fighter's and 107 bomber's so around two fleet carrier's are confirmed here my number's are around 120 Fighter's and 120 Bomber's.

Now I don't know if i should fight this battle if he has the whole entire American navy there we'll be about on equal term's I can use Makin as a base for more fighter's swell my Number's up by around 50 or so I will also bring up some Betty's to Kwajalein as the base can support torp's and the more bomber's that can get in the better.

August 2nd - 9th

So I tried to write this at least 2 time's now and was timed out since it took me so long so i'm going to explain it in a few word's and go from there.

The allied fleet tried to land troops some where in the Gilbert Island's to build a base my carrier's where near by and he was thwarted 2 American carrier's are sunk along with a couple cruiser's, DD's and Transport ships I only lost a DD and sufferer minor damage to my carriers Hiyo will need dock time. This put's me in a great position now for 43 and I can continue with my conquest of Australia as I don't need to worry about his carrier catching me when I'm near his cap. I hope my opponent doesn't lose morale. even though most of his carrier's are dead I still lost a good chunk of my carrier fleet and will be in a bad position late 43 early 44

Hi, so most of you know this but for a few that might not the game has ended. I gave my opponent an out I was happy with the situation but wanted a reset, as I messed up with my pilot training, needed a tad bit better logistical game and some other minor stuff. But for my first Japanese game I believe I did alright and hope to improve on what I learned then imply it into feature game's. My opponent and I will be starting a fresh game I believe in BTSL same team's and all I will start another AAR for that one once I send out the first turn but that will take me a week at least to finish
