Well, this Fafnir game will cause me nightmares.

I have a slot available, maybe 2, for an Axis player(s). Who wants some free ELO?

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, I started 4 casual PBF games about a week ago and have yet to be embarrassed in them. This can only mean that I am ready to join you all in this ELO event. Or that my opponents are taking their time to toy with their prey :D
Either way, it's been fun so far.

He was hard after Norway. Even though I expected it, I utterly failed to prevent him to setup an attack and suffered a lot of losses. In effect, I declined event to take Norway. However, he attacked them nevertheless. It did hurt US mob a lot, but at the same time my northern flank was open, for whole game he flew sorties from Oslo.
Then my defence of Tobruk was dismantled, with huge lossess, even some GER planes were taken down.
France went down in 06.1940, but cost was so high I was illprepared for Barbarossa. What is more, my tank tech was severely lagging, I got tanks lvl 2 in October 1940 - crazy lowroll. I threw nearly everything to the South, but from September my tempo started to slow down. Weather was brutal - last sorties of the game were made in August 1941, and without planes it was a slog. In late autumn I began to lose tanks, never saw anything like this. As I didn't get to Rostov around Winter, and suffered a lot of casualties, I decided to give up. That's all folks

Cpuncher (Axis) vs TAIFUN (Allies)

Axis win as I resigned December 1941. Cpuncher managed a perfect French campaign and France surrendered April 1940. The Allies tried to hold the Med and Libya but failed miserably, the Axis powers capturing even Egypt and entered the middle East and Iraq unopposed. The early French defeat meant trouble for the USSR and the Soviets did their best to stop the German invaders... but China was about to surrender, with only 6 units. Japan was a killing machine in China, with no way to stop them the Allies had no troops left to defend India... A great play from my opponent, a great MASTER CLASS. I still need many more games with the Allies.

ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) lost to Fafnir (Allies) ---> Norway Gambit. Used too many ground units in around Denmark waterways, still didn't matter. Not the way to stop.

Game #116 [LOSS] ElvisJJonesRambo (ThundarLizard2 = Allies) ---> 2nd Algiers capital didn't test, loss
Game #117 [LOSS] ElvisJJonesRambo (lwarmonger = Allies) ---> Had fun attacking Japan, losing strategy.
Game #118 [LOSS] ElvisJJonesRambo (Marcinos1985 = Allies) ---> scripted, not continuing
Game #119 [LOSS] ElvisJJonesRambo (ruskicannuk = Allies) ---> lost naval, bogged in Greece. Norway toast

No retirement for you Elvis, just a couple of days/weeks and you are brand new.

One slot available for Axis player, free elo to take. I don't want to be picky, but a person whom I didn't have an honour to play is especially welcome.

@Marcinos1985 --- Out of the 4 games resigned. Our game was just getting started, the rest were gonna be losers. Once the momentum is lost as Axis, it's game over. I appreciate the love, but something is just bugging me. My life, feels like I have to walk on eggshells everywhere I go, because someone gets bent by the fact I use carbon, mask not over the nose, cannot say this, cannot believe that, etc. The Forum is a complete bore. The General Forum, is like a saltine cracker, without the salt.

This is Matrix Game's property, they have rules, I get it. Would be nice if they opened a Sub-Forum, called the "No Snowflake Branch" or "Smackline".

Hi I had three games going and then real life prevented me from any activity for a long time.
Surely all three games should be registered as defeats for me.
My opponents were Cpuncher (Axis) - calcwerc (allies) (He would have won anyway, great play)
Ilto4 (allies) - calcwerc (axis) - calcwerc loose
earlydoors (allies) - calcwerc (axis) - calcwerc loose
in the two other games they were far from finished, but apart from the time aspect they in both cases deserve the win anyway
Sorry again, no ghosting, simply no time. Will unfortunately not be able to play again for quite a while, hope to get back next fall/winter.

Game ended: LoneRunner (Axis) defeated petedalby (Allies) in May 43.

A very poor defense of Russia sealed my fate. A new game will be set up once I resolve a connection problem.

Matt (Axis) vs Cicero77 (Allies) is under way. The only thing worth mentioning is that Canada and Australian joined the war in December 1939, which seems later than normal.

My game vs Marcinos (allies) is chugging along well. It looks like Marcinos knows every event before it happens and when to hit where, so I'd say he has a huge advantage but it should be a good learning experience.

New ELO game:

EarlyDoors (Allies) vs Petedalby (Axis)

Wish me luck!!

Game finished - Axis Victory in October 1943

An 8 sub wolfpack and 2 Maritime Bombers with fighter escort flying out of Norway, cut off the UK->USSR arctic convoy
USSR overrun in 1942
Japan took Kunming and Chungking also in 1942 causing National Morale swing from 80-115%
Every attack afterwards caused 3-6 points of damage
Really good amphibious assault took Calcutta isolating the Indians in Burma and ultimately taking all of India

USA/UK second front captured 6 french ports but could never quite land enough troops to overwhelm the axis

There was a nice moment when there where troops at the gates of Moscow and Berlin on the same turn
