B6N2 Jill: 2 destroyed, 1 damaged 4 x B6N2 Jill bombing from 15000 feet – the port attack failed. Lesson learnt, if I want to attack a port then set it as the primary mission so that the Air Commander is focussed on that mission only, and take the risk that there are no enemy CVs around to interfere. I didn’t do that here as that is how I lost CV Akagi near Ndeni in 1942. Port Attack: 2 x 250 kg SAP Bomb Allied aircraft – the CAP did very well despite being outnumbered, with radar helping them a lot.
