Problem with latest beta, pressing 1-7 doesn't give approriate detail of combat in ground phase

Edit 1: Only @ hasty attack, deliberate seems to give appropriate level of detail

What I'm seeing is that if there is no tank vs tank combat, I am not getting the details. If there is tank vs tank combat I see the detail. Hasty versus deliberate makes no difference in my test. Is that what you are seeing?

Hi Joel,

I've looked at it now (turn 2, same game) and you are right. It doesn't seem to be connected to hasty or deliberate but to tank combat. Could have sworn it was different for me yesterday but it could have been a wrong observation...

Yes, it seems that we're only providing detail on hits on AFVs. Did we ever provide greater detail in WitE2? The part of the combat system that was rewritten doesn't try to provide the detail, but I'm not sure it it was like this at release or do to a change since release. Now that we know when it's not showing the detail, we'll work on adding it back into a future update.

Yes, it was possible in the past to see all elements firing at each other.

combat is shown when anti-tank guns, and even infantry anti-tank weapons (mines, flamethrowers, etc.) are involved. But it doesn't show any infantry detailed infantry combat. I hope that helps you figure out what has changed. Note also that 50mm mortars rarely fire (or fire very little) during combat for either side

Would just like to report I am seeing the same thing. This also only applies to ground elements in the situations dgrimes described, air phase message levels remained unchanged. Took me a bit to search and find it, but have to say I'm glad to see a company that actually has it's board members out assisting.
