Perhaps I'm mistaken.

I thought the rule about the editor loading older TOAW version scenarios was that it could handle up to one major version older than the editor's version. For example, TOAW IV editor can load a TOAW III scenario.

I just loaded a TOAW II original scenario into the IV editor and it looks to have loaded without problem. I saved it out as a IV version scenario just to compare events and such.

Any known issues with doing this?

Cheers

I can load TOAW II scenarios directly off the disk. The map doesn't shrink to the proper size. Instead you are presented with a 700x700 map with the scenario inserted in the upper left corner occupying whatever number of hexes necessary. Not sure where it's pulling the graphics from. First scenario I opened the hexsides were from TOAW II. The second scenario I opened the hexsides were from TOAW IV. Also didn't bother with the equipment but it shouldn't matter since the scenarios were all vanilla in TOAW II if I recall.

Edit: I did try opening scenarios from a couple of TOAW I versions but it wasn't possible.
