I disbanded the whole VVS on turn 1 & 2 and have had no planes on the map since then.

However, despite the complete absence of any planes, a decent number of airfields still have personnel that has not disappeared and been sent back to pool as of turn 4. In other cases, airfield personnel did disband on other airfields, but they still have not on these ones.

So this may be some sort of bug, or alternatively maybe it just takes loner than I thought, but presumably they should not stay here forever if there are no planes at the airfields, ever.

I do notice that most, though not all, of these seem to be in the Caucasus area, so maybe it might have something to do with the Transcaucasus theater box or something also?

I can't explain this. I tried to duplicate it in another game but couldn't. The men should go back immediately. I ran it one more turn and the men stayed in those airbases. I'll add this to the bug list. There is no link to a TB that I know of. I'm curious if anyone else has seen anything like this at other airbases. Thanks for the report and save. It probably won't be easy to figure out, but eventually we should be able to figure out why the men aren't going back in this case.
