Hi, Is anyone interested in an Order of Battle Manager? This tool would allow player to keep many different OOBs and swap them in and out as needed. I started work on a program to help a friend and I for internet play. We have three OOBs and switching, and remembering which one was installed, was always a pain. If anyone is interested I will complete this tool and post it. If one exist let me know and I'll use that(and save my time). Thanks, Heintz28 ----- "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy" Benjamin Franklin

I've never switched out OOBs because I was afraid of screwing up the original. A tool like yours just might open up this game to alot of "what-if" situations. i think you should pursue it.Look at Henri Pesonen's Pbem Helper, it is now a part of the game. Yours could be too.

this is a great idea. Close Combat had something similar to handle the different Mods. OOB's should be easier, because it is just one standard file.

This would be a great option for testers to have, I would dearly love to be able to flip-flop OOB's to observe the effect on an in-progress test. Bring it on soon as you can. Once again the SPW@W faithful come through with flying colors!! Bing

That sounds like a great idea. That way you will be able to task organise your OOB to suit the scenario. Thats what I like about this game; the flexability one has to do different things.

[QUOTE]Originally posted by MacCready: [QB]Are there alot of modified OOB's around? I've only found a couple. Yes, probably just not available for public!! Mine are heavily modified, special icons, redone formations, etc., but I don't release them, I play campaigns primarily, so I use them for that purpose. This program would be excellent!!

Paul V, Is there any chance that mech.exe could support a command line interface in future versions? That would let the script writers go to town and allow specific scenarios/campaigns to be linked to custom OOBs. Just a thought,
Reg.
