I had a similar problem, the game wouldn't load up from the "Korsun Pocket - Game Menu". Had to do the whole end-task thing. It didn't happen everytime, but since I started using the Korson Pocket Quick Load link I've had no problems. So, if you haven't tried that, you might want to give it a try.
